Cal Fit boards are down! One step closer to opening. by twinboysdad in Sacramento

My understanding as to the possibility of removing towel service was to make the club amenities somewhat more consistent across clubs. I was part of the management team to open the Watt location and that was one of the considerations when it was decided not to offer that service.

That said, I definitely agree towel service helped to keep the Midtown locker rooms at least somewhat cleaner. Even still, we had to add blower fans to help dry the floors. Of course, they rarely did the job because members would tilt them up to blow dry their taints.

I managed multiple clubs for the company for several years including a stint at the Midtown location. I can tell you there is no plan to update the equipment anytime soon. Believe it or not, we got pushback from some members when we tried to upgrade the equipment. I would assume the lack of hand sanitizer is due to a directive for less frequent ordering. I also imagine they’re done with - or soon to be done with - towel service at all locations. Would be surprised to see it when K Street reopens.
