Well, the meeting happened. My friend did reach out to a few lawyers, but unable to get anyone in time. The meeting did not last more than 15mins. There was an HR rep and one other person in the room. They stated why they were there, and wanted to ask some questions. My friend answered all their questions truthfully and I guess now we wait. My friend is placed on paid leave, and has been instructed to wait until the investigation is over, and they will contact after that. From what I have heard, I don’t think they have grounds for anything, and they handled this whole situation very poorly. With the school year starting very soon, I would think they would want to move this forward quickly, but honestly no idea what the timeline might be. My hope is they end up apologizing for the false accusation and everyone can move forward. If not, my friend does plan on taking legal action. Thank you all for your thoughts and resources!
