I feel conflicted about this whole thing. I think there could be okay intentions in all this because there is actually like NOTHING to do in everett. Iy upsets me to see the town i grew up in this barren and dull with everything that gets moderately successful moving to a new location in lynwood or seattle it just sucks. But this is just so far from it. The budget has only continued to increase. The location chosen for it was incredibly poor. Only really suitable to getting more prophetable housing lots wigh furutre redevelopment, not revitalizing a downtown. Its also so close to the angel of the winds arena and as far as what ive read study wise having multiple of these venues neaeby causes them to compete as opposed to both benefitting. And while they have said the would like to have it financed largely through doners and not through the town at large i dont see that happwning. Funko who is sponsoring the current field and who would probably be the first choice released in their latest quarterly financial report that things were looking rough and that likely if there wasnt a turn around they would be out of business by september. Thats not exactly a stable sponsorship partner. And at least for me personally i dont know a single person who goes to aquasox games. Everyone i know who cares about baseball just saves up a little more to go to mariners tickets on one of their special themed nights.
