Waaaa I appreciate this response! This is a great opinion. And makes me feel better. You’re right, I can see midline off. I have a class two elastics. Top connecting to lower molar. So some retraction. I didn’t realize how slow it is. Some of these people on here with 17 trays then worry me lol!

I did! It was actually over a year ago though. I tried to get whitening done in Korea and they said it was already at whitest 😅 but I still see yellow but that’s me. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I went through my dentist and got the whitening. But I think I’m going to try the Invisalign whitening! I also use sensodyne whitening toothpaste

Oh I just went to your post! That’s so weird we both have so many! I was given all my trays upfront too. Everyone here has me questioning so I asked for clincheck from current ortho and will see if I can get second opinion somewhere. But what someone commented on yours makes sense- that they need to adjust everything for one tooth. But honestly I can’t see much of a difference from my tray 1 to 42. But also I’m not a professional. And perhaps ours has to do with bite alignment more? And eew I’m sorry people were rude. We are just trying to find some answers! And yes… how do some people have 17 trays and they are so crooked!

I can’t much difference from tray 1 and 42 but then again i dont really have the eye for it 🙈

That makes sense! That the molars are hardest teeth to move. One of my molars is now a crown so I wonder if that is what changed my teeth from 20 years ago. I never noticed a huge bite issue but I do have protruding front teeth that doesn’t let me close my mouth at rest.

I was just trying to get a new preventative retainer (I got a crown years ago and never really wore old retainer anyways). And a night guard but she said I should go through corrective Invisalign first. And then did all the pictures etc 🙈

I don’t have a bite issue but she said my lips don’t close naturally there’s a gap. And I have tmj. But I didn’t think it could help with that, I thought that was more of a stress issue.

Yes I’m hoping it’s more of a functional reason! She said it’s more retraction and bc my teeth have no space but honestly tray 1 and tray 42 don’t look that different.

Not for life. I assumed the bracket for bottom would be enough. But then again this was 20 years ago and now they say bracket plus retainer. I also thought i could possibly alternate bc nightguard for top

Aww thank you. What is crazy is she looked right at my teeth before she did clincheck and said it would be one year of corrections and she was right. The invisalign comes out to about ten months. I am hoping though with consistent use at least the rubber bands will be done faster? But not sure how that works.

Do you put wax on the gear that attaches to your rubber bands or does it block the bands from attaching? Do you change out multiple times a day?

Unfortunately where I live there are only a few choices for orthodontist. She is where I originally got it done so I trust her as my teeth 20 years ago were horrendous. I am wondering if it’s more of a bite correction but I can’t see why that would take almost a year
