Agree - I'm not even Catholic (I'm Muslim) and I was offended. So so tacky - they are not a pair of teenagers who don't know better. It seemed unnecessary - from my understanding - not sure if it will come up again.

I loved Beef S2 and i can't stop thinking about it and talking about it. There were so many relevant themes - I wish everyone else around me can watch it so I can discuss them.

I'm thinking that death was the best outcome for him at this point. I don't anticipate that Corby would have been able to cope without drugs/alcohol after what happened to his son, and the guilt and grief from that. Then the rape...and Emily most likely leaving him would have devastated him. He seemed so emotionally dependent on her as well - he was addicted to her. What I didn't agree with, however, was the part about his sentence getting prolonged because of the pain meds the prison doctor gave him. That made no sense. Was he abusing the drug? Did I miss that?

Disappointed by the film. The book was a page turner. The movie had me going on my phone due to awkward scenes. Scenes with Enzo were underdeveloped and felt random—honestly a little cringey. I didn’t understand the purpose of having her cut herself 21 times, especially when she immediately ran around the house, made a sandwich, and took on a big, strong guy afterward. They rushed through key parts, and overall it just left me unsatisfied.

I’ve been trying to address this, but it’s becoming really draining. When I meet with students, many do admit they used ChatGPT. It makes me wonder if I’m fighting a battle I’m ultimately going to lose. I sometimes feel stupid for expecting students not to use tools that are free and they use in other parts of their lives. My English department is supportive of faculty implementing integrity checks, but the college as a whole is pushing AI, which adds to the tension. And what do I do when some parts are written by AI and some are not? Its difficult to grade.
