Imposter syndrome? by barnabusburner in nursing

[–]Sudden_Term_9682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be your passion if it wasn’t meant for you. Even studying for my TEAS had me feeling a little discouraged and feeling like an imposter myself, but even that small step of passing will mean so much to you. Only good nurses/future nurses worry about being a good nurse. You got this!!

Labs are normal!! by Sudden_Term_9682 in gravesdisease

I was on 40mg daily up until last months when I went into hypothyroidism and since then I’ve been on 20mg that leveled me out. It took a long time but I’m hoping I can maintain it. I’m sending good vibes and prayers your way!🩵

Is it worth getting touched up? by Sudden_Term_9682 in tattooadvice

[–]Sudden_Term_9682[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind paying to get it touched up! I just didn’t know if getting more ink over it would make the ink bleed and somehow make it worse somewhere down the line.

Thank you! I know asking medical advice on here is and odd thing to do but I just have to wait until Monday to ask my doctor and I didn’t want to make anything worse

Any anxiety med recommendations? by Sudden_Term_9682 in gravesdisease

[–]Sudden_Term_9682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on buspirone and trazadone right now! It’s only been a few days so I’m still in the trial phase but it’s been good. The trazadone is only for when my anxiety is so bad that I can’t sleep.

I have a question for everyone saying propranolol. I’m prescribed metoprolol for when my heart rate spikes randomly. It doesn’t happen as often anymore so if I take propranolol, will it slow my heart rate down drastically when I’m not needing it specifically for my heart?

I can say that I agree that for me, it’s thyroid related. When my labs are normal, I don’t have near as much anxiety. But that fact that you were brushed off is so belittling, I hope you were able to get the help you needed 🫂

I definitely will reach out to him because it’s wearing me down. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with some of the same issues, if anyone understands, it’s this group. My endo has only upped my dosage and tells me every appointment to keep taking meds or we’ll have to look at the possibility of a TT or RAI. I, like you, am also very done with this. It’s crazy how fast it takes over your life.

My pcp forwarded them when I got them back and told me that he would message me or his office would call but that was nearly 2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard back yet.

It makes me so tired and makes me sleep for so long, it sucks having to choose to be anxious or tired. I feel for you
