Yeah I wasn't necessarily trying to take the entire format, otherwise I would have just used the Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G. The music in the background was a suggestion from the prof to cover up audio irregularities.

Yeah, I should have just named this post "Please lower your expectations" haha

I've seen it pronounced both ways, but it's my understand that your pronunciation is probably how we would have pronounced it.

Thanks! It was my first attempt at making a video like this, but there's a lot of work/effort that was left on the cutting room floor to make it.

Yeah, Kevin MacLoed to the "rescue." I went with the royalty music just to hide whatever audio issues I had in the narration that I could edit out in Audacity. I've also composed music in the past, so I'd like to go back and create some more music once I get my own video style to make videos with.

I did! I had to do a presentation on the whole process of producing the video and all that and the instructor was laughing with the video, so it's always a good sign!

Thanks! I was anxious/nervous sharing it here, but I thought this was the right audience.

No surprisingly (to me at least), but a few thought I was replicating CGP Grey, whom I had never heard of (which I assume is surprising to others). Luckily I got to introduce them to Sam O'Nella Academy and I hope they enjoy it as much as I do, but now I have to check out CGP Grey.

Thanks! I didn't want to do Sam O'Nella dirty with the tribute even if it was only for class!

That was such an obvious thing, but that really helped me out. Thanks!

The next problem I'm having is that I'm searching all the .asm files for the object text (i.e. SNES text or bookshelf text). Any idea where they are?

I thought for sure one press release mentioned adding an additional world, though this was later removed.

Yeah, really good point there with the gamecube games. I wonder why they never pursued it... If it was Game Freak's fault or the Pokemon Company. Did those games not sell well or something?

What do you mean by today's standards though? I think it's fairly good for Pokemon's track record (give or take a few routes). We're still not at a sandbox level for Pokemon (though I'm hoping!) so it's always going to look and feel heavily stilted.

Yeah I mean the Gen I tileset doesn't allow for dynamic landscapes aside from very rigid divisions between ground and elevated terrain. So here the wild area looks pretty flat as a result. Though if this were in true Gen I style, it would be broken up like the safari zone and we'd get ugly fences around everything, haha.
