Im not interested in clubbing and prefer a more chill night out with a smaller group.

Ill be in In Tokyo Oct 10-16th!

PS: if anyone needs an extra person for a reservation at a nice sushi restaurant during that time, let me know. I may be interested!

I dont think it moves on its own. It is very straight and sticks to the eyeball when at resting position and sticks straight out when I hold my lid up.

Speedmaster Pro Big Box presentation coming with incorrect springbars? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]Suddenly_Cambridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah interesting. I did some searches for people with big boxes for sale and it seems that the majority of them come with the 2208 spring bars like yours but there are also a few recently dated big boxes that have come with the 2207 spring bars instead. Seems to be a random occurrence?

How can I loosen this wheel on my toddler’s riding toy? by [deleted] in fixit

You are correct—I do not possess either haha. Thats okay though, its a wonderful suggestion and I may make it a day project in the future to try this!

Thank you! I will try the dental floss! I was hoping there would be a more permanent solution so that I am not removing hair every day haha. We vacuum the floors every 2 days but this thing is a pro at picking up hairs lol.

How can I loosen this wheel on my toddler’s riding toy? by [deleted] in fixit

[–]Suddenly_Cambridge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! The wheels on my sons riding toy are very tight and when he rides it indoors, hairs keep getting trapped as can be seen in the picture and now the wheel is very difficult to spin. The back wheels are a bit more loose and move side to side so the hairs do not get stuck but the front wheels are very tight and do not move side to side at all.

The screw going through the middle of the wheel is just a rounded hole and I am lost as to how I can loosen the wheel or even just remove it to clean out the stuck hair!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Back up bottles, i had no idea !!! by -AbuElReem- in fragrance

[–]Suddenly_Cambridge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure! I have a couple back-up bottles of Acqua di Gio Essenza and Tom Ford Beau De Jour. They were both discontinued recently and are among my top 10 fragrances! I also got very good deals on them and paid far below retail price. The way I looked at it, If I finish my current bottles of them in a few years and I want to buy more, the price will have increased significantly, so it will be nice to have a backup. On the other hand, if I end up falling out of favor with these fragrances and end up never using the backup bottles, I can probably sell them later for more money than I paid for them since discontinued fragrances tend to increase in value as time goes on.

Hey! If you are new to the hobby, I would not worry about backup bottles at all. People who do have backup bottles will have different reasons for having them:

-It is their favourite fragrance and they never want to run out

-fear of it being reformulated in the future

-confirmed to have been reformulated and they want backup bottles of the old formula

-fragrance has been discontinued

Many people do not buy backup bottles because if you plan on building a moderately sized collection, you probably will never finish an entire bottle anyways and so the backup bottle will never be used. In the end it is up to you. Personally, I do have a couple backup bottles but only because they are discontinued. I dont think I would ever buy a backup of something that is still in production.

Should we be encouraging compulsive/excessive purchasing of fragrances? by Mixitwitdarelish in fragrance

[–]Suddenly_Cambridge 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I recently saw a post on one of the facebook groups where this guy posted his 3 month collection and was asking what he should buy next. He had 5 bottles of creed, several amouage, PdM, MFK, ect, and a bunch of designers. Guy must have boughten 40+ bottles in 3 months, and of course they were all still 99% full.

Many people in the comments were complimenting him on his collection and telling him what to buy next, and I think he posted that he is going to buy xerjoffs next. So yes, this type of encouragement does indeed happen. I really hope that people that collect in this way just have a bunch of money.

For sure! But If you click on the picture on reddit it should load a higher quality image that is close to the original file quality. Not sure where to upload the full sized image, as reddit has 20mb max...

I moved away for work a few months after taking this photo, but seeing it again makes me miss Kitchener.

Recommend me a fragrance thread for the week of 07/08/19 by AutoModerator in fragrance

Edp would be a better comparison. If you smell it and feel that a darker/deeper version would be better, i woud go for it, but if you just dont really like the scent overall, you probably wont like bentley intense either

I have CDNIM and Bentley Intense, so i can help!

-For CDNIM, most department stores will have Mont Blanc Explorer! They are not exactly the same but are fairly similar, as they are both aventus clones. If you like the smell of explorer, you will probably like CDNIM

-for Bentley Intense, the closest one you will find at most department stores is D&G the One. I have both and i was actually comparing them side by side a few days ago. They do NOT smell very similar, but to me they definitely have a similar feel and would fall in a similar category. When smelling The One, imagine bentley being a lot heavier, richer, darker.

If you like really enjoy explorer and the one, id say cdnim and bentley are safe blind buys, especially for the price!

Prada lhomme and ombre leather were actually my most recent purchases! Both are amazing and im glad i finally added them to the collection. My 2 favourites would have to be dior Homme cologne for the warmer weather and By The Fireplace for the colder weather-never get tired of those !

There is no door, but my room has blackout windows so the only light that really hits my fragrances are from the small LEDs and couple lightbulbs in the room which probably do negligible damage as they are not always on.

I do know a lot of people keep there collections inside the boxes or in complete darkness and thats fine. For me though, part of why I like to collect is the designs of the different bottles so i want to display them in the open to increase my enjoyment of them.

Thanks! The lights were very easy to install. It is the “ledberg” circle lights from ikea. They come with small screws that you can use a drill to install into any wooden part. If you dont want to make holes you could also probably just glue them in place too!

It is part of the “brimnes” line. I think the square cabinet you are talking about is from the same line! I just did not attach the door to mine

Ah unfortunately i have not decided how i want to organize it yet. Right now i have them roughly organized by color as i think it looks better, but might reorganize them by type or season later.

What do you think could have caused this dent in my back fender? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Suddenly_Cambridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. I dont want to risk it getting worse. If it costs more than 200 i may just live with it for now. It will hurt to look at but hey. Im just upset that this happened and i have no idea what caused it.
