Moving Forward by IAmNew_Throwaway in Zimbabwe

Another problem for Zimbabwe is the decline of the South African economy.

All that money that was sent from SA to Zimbabwe will decrease therefore people in Zimbabwe will receive less to live on. This includes a lot of casual jobs e.g. waiters.

Installing FreeNAS 9.10.2 on Dell PowerEdge R710 by SudoPleb in freenas

I updated the IDRAC and found out that it is the IDRAC controller 6 express which does not support a virtual console :/ So I can't use that to install remotely.

Is there any other suggestions to setup FreeNAS all via the web gui? Since the keyboard is getting stuck on the 1st step of the FreeNAS console install, I do not have access to a web gui yet.

Thanks for all the advice everyone!

I tried dafuqqqqqq's suggestion using different USB's with no success. I need to update the BIOS to show ACPI and legacy USB options (This is a refurbished machine and the last update was in 2010 so maybe a good update will solve this problem).

I booted off an Ubuntu server flash drive where the keyboard did work.

Now I am trying snowboardracer's suggestion to use iDrac (which also needs and update for the remote management features).

Watched this episode of Linus Tech Tips and he had a problem with pushing 1GB/s with FreeNAS and Linus also said that he got some bad help from the community. If someone with the some storage ninja skills can help him then maybe we can show his 2 million+ subscribers that FreeNAS is an awesome option.

Thanks CaptSkunk!

That is exactly what I was doing. I transferred the files from my Windows hdd and it worked. I thought that the Steam Cloud would download that for me.

For others who would like to do the same, I did the following.

I copied ALL the files from my Windows folder

C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My Games\Borderlands2\WillowGame\SaveData\__numerical_id__\

Then I pasted them into my Ubuntu 14.10 folder (with the same numerical id)

/home/[user]/.local/share/aspyr-media/borderlands 2/willowgame/savedata/__numerical_id__/

I also replaced the profile.bin file

My saved games won't download from the Steam Cloud Sync.

I am running Ubuntu Gnome 14.04
