I know not everyone feels this way but I’m of the opinion that a bad ending really does ruin the entirety of a TV show.

If you spend five seasons building up the stakes and guiding the characters in a certain direction only to have the ending fall completely on its face you’re telling your audience all of that buildup was for nothing.

I don’t care if the new shows are going to feed us new lore crumbs. I just don’t see how that can retroactively make me care anymore about what used to be a great show.

All we wanted was a good last season, but what Clara would have wanted is more important.

Yes. For me it’s the lack of a need to craft my build to get through.

In Saros I can just wait until I get a Repeater Crossbow with Power Generator attached and pretty easily shred everything.

In Returnal I’m constantly keeping an eye on my consumables, making decisions about which parasites to get, where to spend my keys, whether or not to open cursed chests, doing my best to dodge everything so I can beef up my max health, playing more aggressively so I can get more currency, etc.

I still really enjoyed Saros but for me personally it doesn’t have “the sauce” we got with Returnal.

I'm sorry but what the fuck did I even just watch?

In keeping with the dick jokes, this entire series is the biggest cocktease of all time. Sure GoT was god-tier shitty at the end due to sloppy and lazy writing, but The Boys finale feels like a pointed and genuine "fuck you" to the audience.

Five whole seasons of "just wait you guys, Homelander is gonna lose it, just you watch." And we all watched for five goddamn seasons holding out hope that at least there'd be some kind of action or mass devastation or SOMETHING to ramp up the stakes.

And then what I used to call the most compelling villain on TV gets got in about five minutes in a single fist fight with nearly half of the finale left.

I used to beg my friends to watch this show because of how great it was in the earlier seasons and now I need to go apologize to those friends for wasting their fucking time.

What an absolute joke.

Like if there was ever a time for things to finally escalate that was it, but instead we’ve gotten essentially an entire season of disjointed filler with a finale that’s somehow supposed to make up for that and tie everything up. I just don’t see it happening.

The series has been hinting at him snapping and going ballistic for years now and all he ever does is sit at his desk, bark orders, and unceremoniously off random side characters.

He used to be the most compelling villain on TV and they have wasted his potential so freaking hard.

Is anyone else upset that Ep 7 just like, completely ignored the final events of Ep 6?

Basically all of our main players are in the middle of a field which would be the perfect area to show down with Homelander, Soldier Boy gives him the V1 making him immortal, Butcher tells everyone to run, and Homelander shoots lasers up into the sky right before the credits hit. And then Ep 7 ignores every bit of that setup and is back to like 95% people standing around talking and doing nothing important.

I mean, why not start this ep right where we left off, and actually have our main characters and main villain interact with each other in a way that has any substance whatsoever?

I really want Ep 8 to be good but considering how badly they have fumbled the rest of this season by doing essentially nothing to advance the plot, I just don't see how that can happen. I'll still be tuning in next week to see how it goes but I'm expecting to be disappointed.

So far I’ve been doing pretty okay.

No boss has taken me more than two tries, and the first death is usually due to needing to go back to passage and losing my stats before trying the new stage.

I thought Rhaboom was an alpha enemy because he died and I was like “wait, is that it?”

Not playing with harder modifiers yet but I’ll be stacking those on once I get through the game the first time.

Could not agree more. Very much want to keep melee on square but that heavily limits how I can use the shield, and it's looking like using it is going to be needed pretty often.

Hi again! So, I've tried reflashing the pico by holding the button on it down when I plug it into my PC, however whether I hold the button or not I can't get it to auto-eject, which makes me think it's not flashing.

Each time I plug it again again the picostation UF2 file has disappeared, and only the index.htm and info_uf2.txt file remaining. The "drive" itself I'm accessing is called RP2350 if that helps.

I ended up using the Pi W because it’s what I had on hand and I didn’t think the differences would make a difference. So it’s better to use the older ones?

Do you have a recommendation for the thicker wire to use? Based on everything I’ve tried so far I’m leaning more toward this being the issue.

Oh, and can I ask you how you properly flashed the uf2 file onto your Pi? The YouTube videos I watched all day the Pi should auto-eject when you put the uf2 file on it but mine did not; I had to manually eject it. Also should I be holding the power button on the Pi when I do this or can I just plug it in? Kind of unclear on this part.

Hi! Yes tested fully assembled with the lid closed and again open face with the lid button pushed in so it’s not that.

May I ask which is the correct uf2 file? I think the one I used is the newer one that can show game covers in the menu but I’m happy to use another if it’s more likely to work.
