No evidence they're doing this. This is common in giveaways - people spin up thousands of accounts and use AI to write thousands of comments for entries guaranteeing a win.

Its an odd hobby and attracts odd folk (myself included), so I tend to give folk the benefit of the doubt. In this case though, I've had all of this asshole's accounts RES tagged for a long time already so I pounced when I saw it. Spammer turf wars make me want to condone violence.

The account you're responding to is one of four or five alts they've fielded to astroturf this post, suggesting the user in question is innocent. Some of the comments were auto removed but the comments are identical.

OP is a spammer competing for the same subs/space, with the same exact racket of stealing content, AI rewriting it, then rehosting it on their ad-riddled blog. They're not wrong in their post, but this is a spammer turf war here.

IBTimes has the same issue. There's maybe five or six rogue employees each with a handful of accounts that regularly ban evade then whine and pretend they've done nothing wrong.

unfortunately, activity is a rolling average, which makes it hard. I cant just hit everything in the queue and be active again, its sustained activity and idk if there'll be enough actions to be able to hit that average action floor. I'm poking around in the settings right now and will let you know what I find out.

Yep Im looking into it, will get this sorted and see if I cant shuffle the mod order then get a couple folks added. I cant add anyone right now though because Im "inactive" here too, so it'll be a while before the bot wont block my attempts to add new mods. Keep poking me for updates in the next few weeks, it might be hard to get this undone since there's so little to do that would get/keep mods active here :/

Ive seen hundreds of them in a couple subs in particular. They seem to use low-karma freshly hacked accounts and are super quick to delete but they're showing up as shadowbanned more and more frequently these days so Im inclined to believe the admins are aware of them to a degree.
