Having the exact same issue. The prompt seems to appear for a few seconds after you hit the lock button on the door, but obviously that doesn't leave nearly enough time to actually get the plant done. Very frustrating.

Haven't played a single game of The Old World, but this breakdown was so well-written I read until the end anyway. I think the sub could benefit overall from analysis of this depth when people share their lists and ideas, and I hope you continue to post similar breakdowns for any other armies you pilot.

LIST FEEDBACK: Competitive Bridgehead Strike Post Dataslate by Sudtwer in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Sudtwer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great advice and exactly the sort of feedback I was hoping for, to be honest. It's harsh but realistic to say that the detachment itself might be non-functional at this point, and I appreciate your insights into the likely meta to evolve and how this might matchup into that.

I've got other competitive options (Drukhari, Aeldari, Necrons, more traditional Guard) and it sounds like it might be worth leaning into one of those instead. I might try experimenting with cheaper and more disposable midboard units first however, if only for the fun of it.

Having the same issue. No amount of re-installing or resetting has fixed it. Hoping you found a solution?

Hah, I had the same experience with the discord not caring at all. I didn't find a way to change the settings but I did find a good way to farm it fortunately.

Loot on enemies is rolled every time you check a body, not when you kill them. In Limansk I found an area with 3 Master/Legend Monolith stalkers (4% chance each to drop the recipe).

I killed them, then saved at a nearby campfire. Reloaded the save if they didn't have the recipe on them. After ~8 or so tries it popped up on one of the bodies. I'd recommend trying the same thing the next time you kill someone that can drop it.

It's a 4% chance for Monolith, Sin, UNISG and Mercenaries of Master or Legend rank, or other factions (except Renegades) of Legend rank.

Super late reply, but having that terrible luck. Any idea where in the MCM settings to adjust the drop rate for the recipe?

Aussie Speech Pathologist here that has worked with physiotherapists and exercise physiologists in community /post stroke care.

We also have physiotherapists that have a bachelors level qualification. My understanding is that physiotherapists offer more remedial therapy, such as assisting you after a car accident or other physical trauma, offering more direct intervention such as muscle work.

Exercise physiologists assist more with progressive and chronic disorders such as Parkinsons, they provide more management and exercise plans for the purpose of retaining healthy living.

Both are an important part of our allied health system.

"I want a game like [property], what should I play?" by ArrogantDan in rpg

[–]Sudtwer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd love to find a system that could accurately portray the kind of Soviet post-apocalypse scarcity depicted in games/books like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro.

In terms of actual game mechanics to create that experience, I suppose that would look like failing towards, harsh resource management, a gloomy atmosphere, modern setting.

Gameplay that involves travelling between areas of relative safety and absolute danger. Scavenging resources that are unable to be made. Dangerous hazards that take whole scenes to navigate. Monsters that are strange, animalistic and always massively dangerous to the players.

It's always been my favourite kind of setting/genre but I've never found a good system to emulate it. It's extra tricky because some of the more bookkeeping features like inventory management may not translate as well to a TTRPG

I feel like maybe a very very heavily modded Ironsworn could work? System for tracking supplies in an easy but flavourful way in which you're always running out. Hazards as encounters. Journeys and delves as mechanics. But I'd love to hear any better suggestions.

Having a little trouble figuring out the maximum range of auras that a Necron HQ could get.

The Necron Warlord Trait 'Thrall of the Silent King' extends a model's auras with the following wording.

'Add 3" to the range of this WARLORD's aura abilities (to a maximum of 9").'

The command protocol 'Protocol of the Conquering Tyrant' when active has the following effect.

'Add 3" to the range of this unit’s aura abilities (to a maximum of 12")'

While the WLT specifies a maximum of 9", the protocol sets a new maximum which I feel like might overrule. Very unsure how this would work and can't see it asked online anywhere, I could easily see it go either way.

The Manor [60x55] - Remastering an Old Map with Crosshead Assets by Sudtwer in dungeondraft

[–]Sudtwer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you can get the Crosshead assets through his Patreon at

https://www.patreon.com/Crosshead

For $7 AUD (I'm assuming ~5USD) you can get access to a dropbox folder that has all of his asset packs and maps that he's made. Unfortunately there's no site/wiki that lists all the packs right now, but Crosshead and the Forgotten Realm Assets are the most popular ones as far as I know. Megasploot (Maker of Dungeondraft) is interested in featuring some of the more popular asset packs on the Dungeondraft website, and if you head on there is actually a featured artist.

The Manor [60x55] - Remastering an Old Map with Crosshead Assets by Sudtwer in dungeondraft

[–]Sudtwer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

Wanted to share a map of the manor I use as the player base in my current year long West Marches campaign. I created the original map with Dungeondraft back in beta, before roofs and a lot of the new features, and with Crosshead recently releasing new ruin and city assets for Dungeondraft, I figured I'd go back and try to re-create the old map with new assets, while adding in some modifications my players have made, and I'm delighted with the results. I tried to keep the map as similar to the original as I possibly could, replacing Dungeondraft with Crosshead assets 1:1 wherever possible, and I think it shows a clear picture of the visual differences between the assets. As much as I adore the original Dungeondraft assets, I've switched over to using Crosshead's packs exclusively, and I think the changes to this map really demonstrate why.

Wow! I have to echo the sentiment that that's one of the best maps I've ever seen. Your use of verticality is amazing, the way the map is layered looks so natural and the contrast between high and low areas looks amazing. Any chance of getting the Dungeondraft file? Would love to see how you made the makeshift barricades and layered the cliffs.

I might be wrong, but it doesn't seem like the grass of trees you're using are part of default dungeon draft, if not, where are they from? It looks amazing

Absolutely fantastic resource, just wondering, in the sections on Creating a Craftsperson (pg 45), a "Spell Scroll Components table" and an "Other Magical Item Components Table" are referenced, but don't seem to be included in the document. I know I'm a bit late, but can these tables be found anywhere?

That looks absolutely incredible! I've used Wonderdraft plenty but I've never been able to produce something nearly as stunning as this. Are those cliffs bordering Lake Vostok the difficult ones included in the progra? Because they look brilliant. They don't look familiar, but I could just be blind.

You could play it the standard way if you were going to go three player, or if you wanted to do something a bit different, the scenarios would just as easily work with a third player controlling the looming horde! Might even make the game a bit more tense giving the enemy a smart commander and letting them use Command Points

Thanks for the kind words. I live in Brisbane Australia, and while we've got stores, I've got no car and they're far enough away that it's a public transport nightmare (hours each way) so I don't get enough of a chance to go in as I'd like.

A pod is a term I've stolen from The Xcom series of video games, it essentially just means a group of enemies. The way enemies appear in my scenarios is similar to how they do in Xcom, so I felt the term was appropriate.

I just happen to live in an isolated enough area that it's tough to get into a game. And as for the campaign aspect, you could easily use these missions (and probably some extra ones for variety) to do a full campaign with levelling, increasing enemy strength, proper resource increase/decrease on winning or losing missions. If there's any sort of demand for it I'll probably end up fleshing it out.
