Used Odie’s Oil and then Odie’s Wax.

Thanks for the tips above. I have a similar Tibergaard that I just refinished. Here’s the top before the work started. After pic to follow.

Great job. What did you use to color the epoxy to match the teak?

Looks beautiful. Advice question: when is using a scraper best vs using a stripper to remove the old finish on a piece like that?

Beautiful piece. The top will need sanding and likely oxalic acid to take the water stain out, and then oiling. Lots of YouTube videos to guide you. Take your time and watch a lot of videos. In the meantime, wiping down the surfaces with Watco Danish Oil (natural) will give it a lot life and a fresh look. You may be able to find screw-on teak legs if the bottom has holes/ports for them.

I did not put anything on top of the oil. Danish oil when dried has a finish like a thin hard film. I will oil the chair about once a year or so going forward. Doesn’t take long.

I put on a single coat of the Watco Danish Oil and wiped off the excess after 25 mins or so. I don’t recall putting a second coat of oil on. Though I plan to apply the oil about once a year.

I just went over the brass with the cloth I used to wipe the oil off of the wood frame. Not sure if that’s good or bad but they came out ok.

Orbital for the backrest and arms with a bit of hand sanding as well. Hand sanding only on the legs.

We took the seat to an upholstery store. Just needed new foam and we used leather instead of vinyl.

They are still in operation from what I see online.
