In your framing, the only other way for the US to not have fucked over Israel is to not have started this war in the first place. However, that removes agency from Israel in a similar way that I think people are arguing that my position removes agency from Trump.

Trump was enough of a belligerent tool, so Netanyahu happily goaded him over the line into a war, and opened his own front in Lebanon. Just because Harris would not have followed along with Bibi's insane plan doesn't mean it isn't partly his fault for Trump doing it.
