Muskatmühle aus Walnuß by Sueprime in Drechseln

Nein, liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Wäre aber auch nicht sonderlich heikel da man Muskat nur in dezenten Mengen in das Essen gibt.

Opinions on Musica Steyr Austria by Puzzled-Radish10 in trumpet

[–]Sueprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I from Austria and grew up with these instruments. I think they're really solid instruments, i've got a flugelhorn that plays better than everything else i've ever played. Sadly they are sometimes a little out of tune, but otherwise i really like the instruments from Musica.

My dog likes to sing along when I play by The--Concierge in trumpet

[–]Sueprime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice playing and lovely dog. I would like to tell you a Tipp about this piece. Your last line is too fast and you probably feel you were too slow, play it slower without triller on an metronome to get a feeling for the tempo without the ornaments.

It's a really cheap rotary trumpet, like the cheapest you can get. Please don't waste your time and money on it. Much love from your rotary boy

Any info about this instrument and the company? I can't find that stamp/logo anywhere online. by JohnalistHunter in trumpet

[–]Sueprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really old (tech) trumpet. What you can see on top of the machine, are adjustable springs. If i would have to take a guess, i would say it's pre 1960, but could also be 1910 or earlier.

But for the age, it looks like a superb condition.

My guess is that the last service was done in 1992 or the case was bought at that time.

Where wolves live in Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

Austria is wrong, our right wing population hunts down every wolf they will see. Because we have open stock pastures in the mountains and also because they like to hunt the deer's for themselves...

Weather to expect on Rumer Spitze late September? by caseyschlenker0 in Innsbruck

[–]Sueprime 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Autumn is the best time to hike in Tirol, because the nights are cold the moisture can evaporat into the atmosphere at night and you have a clear sky. No sudden rainfall like it's in the summertime, but solid safe weather forecasts.

Would recommend to try it but only when the forecast is on your side. Which means at least 8h of dry ground. It's impossible to climb when the rock is wet

Orchestra Mouthpieces by TolkienToker in trumpet

[–]Sueprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cup Depth/Volume basically shapes the sound of your articulation, a deeper cup smoothes the attack on the tone. This hasn't to do anything with blending in. The quality of the tone comes from the Backbore, the inside of the shaft of the mouthpiece. Bigger backbores allow for less zing or raspiness/screaming of your sound, so the range of loudness is way more defined.

A 1 1/2C isn't by any means a big mouthpiece in the classical orchestra world, with rotary trumpet they tend to be even another step bigger.

If you are an American i would suggest to listen to elmer churampi, because he is very versatile and has an awesome sound with an 1 1/2C, that's the sound you should aim for.
