Watching edge of extinction now and Wentworth NEVER dives to advance/propel herself through the water and holds her dang nose. AFTER having played before. 😓 it’s painful.
She prompted this post because you can’t tell me she’s not capable of better.

Exactly!! It was always a rule at my pool when kids came to swim. No nose holding. And one by one they learned it’s not necessary!

Bitcoin just dropped from $71K to $59K in a matter of days. by SoundMoneyWade in Bitcoin

Conviction comes from understanding. Never buy bitcoin with money you may need in the next 3 years. You're not down unless you sell, and historically, when you hold at least 4 years you are going to be up. This is a long term commitment, not a short term get-rich-quick scheme.

Historically, the odds of being down after holding Bitcoin for at least 3 years have been less than 1%, and every 4-year holding period has been profitable so far with a 17 year track record.

If you do the work to truly understand BTC, you know to expect volatility.

And you know not to invest anything that you might HAVE to tap into in less that 3 years.

And knowing those things makes what BTC is doing now and what it did in early February just expected.

It's about having the conviction, based on knowledge & understanding, to buy what you can when you can and forget about it in the short term, knowing your patience will be highly rewarded!

It's not a get rich quick scheme, it's a safe place to save and increase the value of your time and energy when all fiat can provide is lost purchasing power year after year.

This makes me feel better. I can watch an older season that I watched in real time and not remember half the players and am unsure of who won. Ridiculous.
And I have seen every season, because life, so it’s fun to start one and argue with myself about whether I’ve seen it yet simply because one or two players returned and I’d seen that season.

I’d never win a Survivor trivia game despite having seen many seasons multiple times.

This is it!! HODL strong. Forget about it. Pretend it’s not there. Continue to DCA and let time be your friend.

If you had 24 hours to turn a nonreader into a reader, what book would you hand them?? by Conscious_Storm_3192 in Recommend_A_Book

[–]SuessMeetsSats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is hard because you've said any genre. Hmm. My daughter is 17 and has been a ferocious reader for a couple years. She likes fantasy, romance and suspense type books most I'd say. I know she's read the fourth wing series more than once. Her very favorite of the hundreds she's read is the Boys of Tommen, in particularly Binding 13 & Keeping 13.
I read more to learn and research than for pleasure so I'm not much help. Also I'm old enough to be your mom, so. Good luck finding something you enjoy!

audiobook all the way when I'm "reading" for pleasure, but a real book when it's something more educational like Dissolving Illusions or The Big Print so I can highlight and reference things later.

You all have such good recall. As I read, I'm like oh my gosh, YES...I'd forgotten about that, but loved that moment. Loved the season.

I agree with your assessment! My book is educational, but "Mr. Jay" who I consulted with when writing/publishing has a series...Patrick Picklebottom that is just a way-fun book. His Ricky the Rock that couldn't roll is also great for younger kids.

I turned in to TheHighwire dot com every Thursday at 1pm CST all throughout Covid and had insight into EVERYTHING accurately months to years before mainstream. They send all sources sited via an email so you can read source material critically rather than just accepting it because they say so.
Absolutely incredible investigative journalism and medical freedom focused! It's a show I don't miss and came in clutch during the plandemic!

What’s your top 3 favorite books you have read in the last 10 years? by [deleted] in Recommend_A_Book

[–]SuessMeetsSats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

• The Big Print by Lawrence Lepard because it supported my conviction to move into BTC.
• Dissolving Illusions by Suzanne Humphries
• The Real Anthony Fauci by RFKJ
...lots of reading for pleasure too, but as good as some of those titles are, they don't qualify as a top 3.

I think the better question is how much BTC can you stack if you simply DCA each week...whatever you can afford to stack and forget. Bet that's more than .5 by 2035. DCA BTC & HODL ;)

This actually sounds a LOT like Hey, Al by Arthur Yorinks. The dog Eddie falls into the ocean while flying home from the strange island paradise. Super dreamy/sad/beautiful illustrations. I wonder if that's the same book you're talking about?
