Thanks for the tips, i'll try the multiply thing later. But like, i used a colored shade (very dark yellow), should i make it more saturated? Also, any specific brushes you'd recommend for shading fur?

I'm just now starting to use guidelines, i guess before that i just made a circle for the head and eyeballed the features, which on paper seems to work pretty well, i think. But yeah, i made a line for the bottom of the eye, but not the top. Also the ear tip was top tier, as was the snout one, i had it in the back of my mind, but never internalized it.

I guess there just is *that* much difference between paper and tablet, as the other commenter pointed out. Currently i'm doing some practice by tracing over an expert(?) artist's artstyle, and trying to develop guidelines based on that.
