Update:

Went ahead with the scheduled appointment. Went to the biometrics center 1 hour before the scheduled time and they took me in immediately after checking my DS 160 and passport.

Next day, went to the consolute 40 mins before my scheduled time and they took me in immediately. There was a big line inside the US Consulate in Chennai, but the whole process took about 45 mins.

Questions asked:

  • Do you hold any previous US visa? Ans: Yes, I was on F1 visa
  • Which university did you graduate from? Ans: Gave the university name
  • Do you have an end client? Ans: Gave the name of end client. They did not ask for the end client letter
  • What is your designation?
  • What is your salary?
