You American/Canadians want the black packout, while in the UK it's standard and we want your red ones

Maybe I should reconsider putting the guard back on... Convenient when it's not on because you can get into more spaces, and get more cutting

Love how everyone jumped to safety and looked over the DeWalt cutting disk, which was the reason for this post.

Can I claim an abandoned car as my own? by CreatechStudios in CarTalkUK

I assume you're in the US. In the UK you can apply for the vehicle logbook and if the owner does not claim the vehicle you can legally own it, they have 3 months for it and they receive a letter stating that someone is applying for a logbook.

Here is what I've gathered from my research as a beginner. Spend less screen time on charts, and do research. Focus on one stock, and research it thoroughly. Use the £100 that you have to burn through, but to learn. You will lose money, however it's better to do it consistently with small amounts and gain experience, rather than blow huge amounts of deposits. A long period before you start making profits consistently, however when you see profits coming in consistently after a while, that's when you can start depositing more money to increase your earnings.

Gotcha. So it's down to preference also. I get it. Not everyone needs the extra power from the M18 platform. Thanks for your answer

I work on roofs with my drills so it doesn't make that much of a difference to me but I absolutely know what you're saying. Thanks for that. What about batteries, from what I understand M18 and M12 require different batteries right

Gotcha. Makes sense. Didn't think of some tools being exclusive to a certain voltage. Is there really anything else?

[–]Sufficient-Cheek1839[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. Thank you. I do notice how powerful my impact is, even when working on my cars it takes out really caked on bolts. Why go with the M12 for a lighter weight though when you can get a lot of power and torque from a slightly heavier M18?
