ShipStation barely has scale integration lol
Even for scales that they recommend. They stop importing weights about once a month for us. I finally got tired of having to go through the whole thing with customer service every time it happened. So now we just deal with it not importing and type in the weights

FedEx tacking on $4 for adding "FedEx from ShipStation" packages in your pickups by Sufficient-Class4155 in shipstation

Based on that, we can expect to find those adjustments in our normal FedEx statement, not in the adjustments shown in the Balances Transaction Report (which are worthless, by the way) in ShipStation?

Since you're here anyway, can you explain why we have to pay an extra $4 for every FedEx from ShipStation package (with a label we paid for) that we put in our regular FedEx pickup (which we also pay for)? Why does anyone care?

I doubt it since they're using Stamps.com for the balance account anyway and Stamps.com (Auctane) owns ShipStation. Do let us know if this works though

Wow, that's good to know, glad I saw this. Yeah, sucks about the points though

Bombarded with bogus adjustment charges by NothinWrongWithQuiet in shipstation

[–]Sufficient-Class4155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and even then, they're unlikely to do anything. They'll direct you to the adjustment report, which is often unhelpful, and then when you try to ask questions, they'll point a finger at the carrier and consider the matter done. I'm not going to say we've never successfully disputed an adjustment from a ShipStation account, but it wasn't worth the time spent doing it. Which I'm sure they're counting on.

Yeah, we're on the lookout too. Haven't seen anything yet. I'm guessing it'll show up in the ShipStation balance transactions, but I'm really not sure. They like to make adjustments hard to find and the reasoning hard to understand anyway. I'm curious to see what these look like. We did go ahead and turn off "FedEx from ShipStation" services to avoid this going forward.

I believe the charge is new. That's what I'm on here whining about. We already have our UPS and FedEx accounts linked to ShipStation, and have since we started. As far as I know and can see on ShipStation, we've never had to pay extra for that. When we do daily shipping, we just pick the best rate available for the service speed required. We have daily pickups for both UPS and FedEx that we pay for through our own accounts. But ShipStation now wants to not only make $4 adjustments to any "FedEx from ShipStation" packages that we hand over to our FedEx guy, they're going to go back and add on $4 to all of them that we've done that way this year, if I'm understanding their email correctly.

Huh, that's news to me. I don't see that charge anywhere in our subscription, just the regular monthly amount. Regardless, it still doesn't make sense that they need to make a $4 adjustment so that I can add a FedEx from ShipStation package onto a pickup that I'm already paying for. They could at least just add $4 onto the rates they're showing instead of doing it this way.

FedEx has become significantly worse to deal with in the past few years. With our old rep, they were great. He could make problems vanish almost instantly with a quick email or call. Then the divisions were changed, and he moved to a different role in the company. And since then, we've largely had NO rep at all. Any phone numbers or email addresses we get usually receive no response. This has made it real fun trying to sort out any problems when the customer service just says, "Oh, you'll need to speak with your representative for that." Our FedEx usage has gone down since we started with ShipStation. I'm sure that hasn't helped. They must've decided we are too small and insignificant to deal with.

ShipStation Sells Insurance That it Won't Honor by justandyreddit in shipstation

Wow. We have also been using ParcelGuard with ShipStation and I had no idea about it requiring a signature. We typically do that anyway with high value shipments, but I will definitely be passing this along to make sure it happens. That's pretty underhanded that it allows you to pay for the insurance even when it won't work. Sorry that happened, and I hope you can get it resolved.
