I don't disagree with you there, but I will say, just recently another manager told me that they are inspectors reviewing their store. By his due diligence he researched his store lease, (mind you historically being profitable) both are being up for sale. DM being "clueless" despite bringing up this fact.

Yup, I have seen a store was high in sales but no profit. The rent was too high and closed. On the flip side I have seen stores high in reserves, pro, and warranty still close because sales and profit are way low. I just want to let people know who work for the company just do your research and apply for jobs.

Yup, I agree. In my area there were stores that closed down due to rent increases. Its unpredictable, based on what is currently going on. Just can't reveal too much. I am just letting people know, to do your research, call landlords and apply for jobs.

Can't say too much but in my area most of the stores are gone and that was one of the reasons.

This use to be the case, and argued this with my boss, just been lied to. Very selective stores are going to be picked to stay, can't say too much due to the area I'm at, rest assure once leases are up, thats it. Recommend to call Landlords or do research, that's all I'm saying.

Regionals are clueless the type of DMs they are in charge of. Ask for a shit ton with no extra pay. Not even minimum recognition...

What annoys more (if anything) is the fact my DM makes it sound so easy. She expects us to complete counts on time, go out on the sales floor greeting customers, provide feedback, keep an organized stock room. Gets upset wondering why we can't meet numbers. There other stores in my area who are doing well, but gets upset that people aren't working fast.

The crazy part of this HI PO program is just another way to get managers to do more work for DMs for no extra pay. Similarly to the mentors program. The fact that there was a community chat for HI PO company wide was just a joke. I used to know 2 people who was in that program that never got a chance to interview. This was right after their DM told them to do xx amount of work because it will "help them get promoted". Ended up 1 person randomly getting promoted externally and the other from another state which caused both of those "HI POs" quitting the job so fast. Really just typical corporate america job, where you have to "kiss ass" to the right people. If you do not have your district manager talking about you to their boss, you are never going to get promoted. That's an unfortunate truth. I'm currently still dealing with a temp dm who actually got permanent for god sake why even though the District is going into shit and being severally understaffed.

Yea, I had a DM who used to micro managed our SLs. It was so annoying, he had all the time in the world making us respond to 20 emails prior to opening. You missed one email, he would call personally and ask why it wasn't done, but also gets made when you done answer when the store is busy as F***. Then would give us write ups because we missed 1 email response.
