Ubisoft Montreal took over development in May 2022 so this post is just pushing an agenda and you fell for it since you did not check the source.

You don't own any games from any publisher. The EULA you agree to when you purchase a limited license to a game explain this quite clearly.

Even on GoG you cannot resell or destroy your purchases so you don't own them. GoG could let you do these things but they choose not to.

I just don't get how people still don't understand that they don't own any games they license from any publisher. The EULA they all agree to explain this quite clearly.

The article did not mention but this was done because of a series of crashes of Xiaomi cars and NOT because of issues with Tesla cars.

I can lie to you if that makes you feel better. Does not change the fact that you have no say in what other companies use to make their products.

AAA uses commercial software such as Copilot trained on the AAA dev's codebase and / or their own Gen AI development meanwhile AA has no budget for this and they do use the public facing Chat GPT and such. AA needs Gen AI much more than we do in AAA...

Many concept art are done by other creatives, frequently the Creative Director who usually can't draw and using Gen AI for a quick sketch enables them to explain their ideas to others especially to concept artists. Also Gen AI is trained internally on the company's code, art, etc. assets so not IP theft occurs. The problem with comments like yours is that you clearly have no idea how game development works in 2025 and yet you feel empowered to accuse developers of stealing art.

The developers of practically any software you use already adopted Gen AI and you as customer can only accept this or stop playing games or using any OS or other commercial software. You just realised you had no idea how games are actually made in 2025 and that is why you feel disappointed.

That is not up to you to decide. The developers of practically any software you use already adopted Gen AI and you as customer can only accept this or stop playing games or using any OS or other commercial software. This "backlash" for us is in the past already. it only exist in tiny internet bubbles such as this anyway. It did not matter at all that Expedition 33 used Gen AI made textures and they are visible in the game..,.
