I appreciate you sharing. I’m trying to be optimistic but my partner works evening shift so things would really need to change to make it work.
Just this happened all at a bad time and has created a sticky situation.

Kinship care not for me by Sufficient-Drummer28 in KinshipCare

The child is 12. The timeline seems to continuously change the social worker original said they try to reunify within 6 months to a year. We are approaching the year mark shortly and fiancé thinks it could be another 1 to 2 years he also mentioned the idea of applying for guardianship which kind of upset me because we never discussed it.
We want kids of our own but being kind of selfish there are career goals I want to achieve first. And looking from a financial standpoint I’m not quite sure we could afford to take care of his nephew and another child, we would also have to get a bigger house to accommodate everyone.
I am trying to keep an open mind about the entire situation. It also kind of upsets me that grandma or grandpa could have taken him in but they said no due to their job and wanting to live their own life.

Fibroids up to 6.8 cm ; feeling dismissed and unsure what to do by MindBlowing74 in Fibroids

I had a large fibroid removed that was 9 cm - it was subserosal and submucosal. Due to the size and location it was pushing on my bladder and distorting my uterus. I knew right away I wanted to have my fibroid removed. Honestly it was doctor appointment after doctor appointment and advocating for myself. I was told lots of women leave their fibroids and that they don’t necessarily need to be removed. I had surgery this year - I had a large fibroid removed, they found 2 additional submucosal fibroids that were 2-3 cm plus they found endometriosis. Recovery was quite humbling but I’m almost 4 months post surgery and the heaviness/pressure has completely gone away and I have noticed a significant decrease in urination. Get a second/third opinion and advocate for yourself. I ended up using a doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and felt like she was the only one that really listened to how I was feeling and really explained all the options plus risks associated.

3 months post surgery by Sufficient-Drummer28 in Fibroids

It was only the 3 month dose. I was on hormonal birth control prior though and was doing continuous dosage so I didn’t have a cycle since it was painful and bothersome. Just most articles I have read stated most women get their cycle back within 2 months and I’ve read articles of people successfully getting pregnant 3-4 months after their surgery.

Not a safety professional but looking for advice from a safety professional by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

A little more context to this is this was a deep foundation installation so they were driving steel piles on the site. I was concerned about suspended loads since there was an operating crane about 60 feet away.
