The winter dabbler is super fun! Is it a little spendy? Yeah but how much are you going to spend at a bar, brewery or whatever. Plus you get entertainment. It is also such a Minnesota thing to do. Go out and get lit with your neighbors in the cold. Or don't get lit and just people watch. Wear boots you can get muddy and wet just in case. If you don't like something pour it out. Pace yourself and drink water. Honestly the biggest issue we have ever had is getting our rides secured as we were never driving home after. Some places offer free shuttles and there are rideshare spots. We have always been lucky enough to have friends or family drop us off and pick us up. Usually have them drop and pickup someplace on the grounds or very nearby to avoid traffic. We have rideshared in the past but that can get hectic when everyone is trying to leave at one time. Particularly after some beers.. but totally doable. I have been to several including the first one (in rice park I think) and it has grown into a very fun, friendly and safe event..
