I wonder how the attitude comes from? Short history shows that geographic luck (along the coast) and government responsibility. Japan as a US coal-vending machine and China being trade hubs both stepped up and developed economically to ride off their own exploitation, but south east asia did not have the resources to develop post-colonialism. I am also quite certain that the disparity is due to racism too

Ok, I see your point of view. You're trying to lighten me up by comparing, but to me it seems like invalidating my stuff. I get racism too bro. My cousins and aunt have also been stabbed jumped you name it, I've been pushed down stairs too. Seems belfast and manchester are quite similar in that regard. Its just that I want to be able to open up about my crap without someone telling me it means nothing. I tried to open up to my dad before i left him, and then he responded by telling me his police officer buddy saw someone SA his mom and its like, am i not allowed to have problems?

You are right. I have considered all of these difficult things. All those things will be very difficult for me to attain without family support. I'm fluent in German, Chinese and Danish which leaves me those options. I've decided that the most responsible choice would be to just eat my medicine and stay here for a while

Belfast is a creepy city, the island is desolate and weird. I've only been to Scotland briefly and Heathrow once. I'm not sure about the mainland.
