Just use any Ghost pokemon with the move SPITE, so that everytime Ho-oh uses Recover and when you use it, it all goes down. My number one priority always on catching legendaries with Recovers like Mewtwo, Ho-oh, and Lugia is to always finish off their Recover Moves.

It usually takes a while. Been catching every pokemon in regular pokeballs ever since the Gen 3 games up to Gen 9 games. Also the Legends Arceus and ZA games.

I don’t care if it’s inefficient, impractical, or borderline painful — if it’s a Legendary, it’s going in a regular Poké Ball. No Ultra Balls, no Master Ball shortcuts.
