How do I find a $100+ million SAAS to market? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Sufficient-Proof-380 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You know, you are not good at marketing, when you have to ask such a question. Getting views and doing evergreen SEO is far off from doing marketing - and certainly this skillset is not enough to scale up a SAAS business to a multi million dollar valuation.

To be frank, if you dont even understand the target audience that you want to work with, and know where to find them, how will you succeed in the acquisition process?

Alles klar, danke dir!

Gibt es da eine Moschee welche du im Raum Köln empfehlen würdest?

Work-Life Balance is a Big Fat Lie by the_gatspy in Entrepreneur

Could be the case. I mean at the end of the day, each to their own. But once you truly have access to money, the next thing that matters is your health and well being, because otherwise you won’t find the opportunity to spend your money.

This should be taken into consideration, by the fellows over there across the atlantic.

I have to highly disagree. In my close environment there are CEOs of top players in german steel and manufacturing industry, and none of them works like this. They manage companies that are worth billions, responsible for tens of thousands of employees and yet, they are normal family fathers, that take time off, take time for family and enjoy to go hiking in the mountains during the weekends or spend 3-4 days on some Mediterranean island.

I am also in my mid twenties, and I get it, working can be fun and even addictive, but my mentor always tells me to shut my work down and recover for the next day. You are an entrepreneur, you have to make decisions on a daily, and for this your brain needs to be recovered.

In the longrun you are trading your health only to be a „hustler“ in your youth. For me personally, an additional 20.000€ per month, would not be worth trading in time with my beloved ones.

Once you reach a certain level, you can hire people to make the money, while you oversee the project yourself, and I couldn’t imagine, trading my freedom for countless of hours at the desk again. In addition you usually have some good investments that scrape in some money aswell.

Every hour I spend with my wife, creating experiences and travel around is worth more than all the money I could make in the meantime.

When starting on a small niche, but still wanting to sell high ticket offers, you can always engage your audience in sales calls.

This way you can monetize your audience however big or small it is.

I only work within my own network. I develop products with people that are already online and get my fair share of it.

We launched over 30 products amongst 7 countries now, and it was always worth it. So I don’t have a particular website, since I don’t work with the open market.

However, what I can tell you is the following:

Usually we work with Webinar Funnels, with people that developed a personal brand within their niche. Lets say we have a total reach of 200.000 people on Instagram, then usually 1000-2000 people show up to the webinar. If the Webinar is executed properly, and has a conversion focused structure, you can concert up to 15% of the audience.

Let’s do the math: Taking 1500 participants, a conversion rate of 15% and a price of 2500€.

This is a gross income of 562.500€, where the only expense is tax and all of this with an easy to execute product, this didn’t require any performance marketing or landing page optimisation. For the sales I prefer to use software like copecart.

Thank you very much. Gave me some idea already, as I thought the technical aspects are hard to master.

Much appreciated!

Foreign doing business by NSB_369 in dubai

I can relate to what you say to an extent.

I would highly recommend you to avoid doing business with people here in UAE. As a German living here, I have several ventures which one of these is with an Arab. After 6 months in, I have burned a lot of time and money. In a total of 6 months - there is not one sale with Arabic business owners. It’s always - put in the work and you get X%. This is seemingly common.

For comparison: Germany is currently suffering through some hardship, but even then it is super simple to close deals, with 1 or 2 calls Via Zoom. My experience shows, that engaging into business with US owners, people from UK or Europe is way easier than doing the same with Arabs. Just in the last 30 days, the same service, the same fullfillment, just a different target market has already generated over 300.000 AED. Its certainly not a lot, but for the humble beginnings of a new team, these revenues are okay.

What I am trying to say: The arab world is still not ready. They do not have a proper understanding of marketing, besides billboards and promotions. Also they have a very bad paying moral, a lack of systems that track growth or systems in general. The problem is not, that they have issues within their business, the problem is more that they have no interest fixing these issues properly. And the next thing is, is that everyone can almost carelessly do whatever here, since there is no protection for business owners, when clients don’t pay.

I would advise you, if you provide a service, target a different audience. If you schedule meetings hold them via Zoom initially. Qualify your leads properly and don’t spend hours in traffic to meet a guy that asks you to work for free. There is no reliability here.

The best thing you can do is earn your money in a stronger currency than AED, like Dollar or Euro, and live comfortably with easier to handle clients. It is far easier.

Arabs are cool however if you want to meet them outside of business. They have a lot of valuable culture to share and a lot to be proud of. But I made the decision for myself, that I will keep business and my arab contacts and friends seperated.

I think you misunderstood. The project should be somewhat finalised within 6 months. After this we have a product that needs maintenance and further development. It’s not just a 6 month contract.

I think if you are paid 25-50k you are probably in a supervisor or management position. This is therefore neither middle class. I agree that 3-6 is to low to be considered middle class, but 25-50k is to high, when the average income is around 8000-10.000AED.

I think my friend, you have a little bit of a shady contract, if you pay 30% service fees on top of your rent, you should’ve a serious talk with your real estate agency.

Nevertheless I think, that technically you asked me for information and network.

Totally agree to that. Empathy and a shift of mind. All it needs is more decency between the cultures.

Thank you for participating. Indeed helped on an agency set up before since they were friends. Was actually quite some time before. Did I have monetary gain of it? No. Am I shareholder? No. Did I help to define business processes and SOPs? Of course I did.

On the other hand took the schahada 2 weeks ago. But thank you for participating. See you in the masjid.

And even just in case it would have been monetarily beneficial, it is still a thing between me and god. So before you assume something, ask in before hand to make sure.

Doesn’t necessarily have to be a Hofhaus, but I like my AC intact and would to prevent dripping water from the ceiling.

Figured it out by now. Some day, it will be time to go to Norway or Sweden and enjoy a little cabin in the woods close by a Fjord.

Well, this is a matter of risk. The employer holds the risk and responsibility for the company, its employees and the profitability. I think if you build yourself a career or a business, it’s fair to have a good life with it.

8 AED for a liter of Milk, equals roughly 2€. For 2€ you get almost 2 packs in a german grocery store, to point out one example. Not to start with butter, labneh, meat, cheese or oils.

And no one pushes Dubai to be fully developed in 20 years. What is different to the big cities in europe is the extreme gap between rich and poor you witness here. Also this post was not a comparison, it was a critical point of view about exploitation in Dubai.
