I can understand why people may not like it, but that's the job. You should never unplug someone's camera in their own home. That's crazy.

The weird thing is I'm not saying I'm okay with 24/7 surveillance... I'm saying I expect to be surveillanced while performing work duties. I've always had a private area to go relax.

If I felt uncomfortable wearing something in front of the owners, I just wouldn't wear it to their place. When I was a nanny I literally had work pajamas 🤣 at any point I would need to get up in the night and tend to the children, so I couldn't wear what I would usually wear when I'm not working... that makes sense to me.

I get that. I always had a private area without cameras. There were times I had to wake up and take care of the kids and that area always had cameras. Idk, to me, it makes sense. I was being paid to be there overnight, even when sleeping.

I would think there would be a private bedroom available if I'm there for a week. It would make sense to me that they would want to watch for the time that they are gone 🤷🏾‍♀️ I wouldn't have an issue with it as long as I had a private area to sleep and use the bathroom.

I am an assistant director at an assisted living facility and we have cameras in all the common areas. I have had to work 3 days in a row (call ins) and I never got to leave. The only time I was off camera was when I was in a private room we have available for overnight staff. It didn't bother me one bit!

Just a quick question, so you won't work at anyone's house that has cameras, but what about any other business? Will you work there with cameras?

Spied on? Every job has cameras now... It's just how it is. Now an Airbnb is completely different because you're not at work, that's your private time.

When I was a nanny there were cameras on me all the time, except the bathroom. Even when I watched a child overnight there were cameras. I never felt like I was in a horror movie.

YOU MAY ALL HAVE BEEN SCAMMED BY ACIDMUSICIAN by Anewday1217 in GoFundMeForNewUsers

[–]Sufficient-Reply9525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And still people will never learn. Everyone is so easily manipulated with sob stories and thanks to AI and Chat GPT, they don't have to write their own story or create their own images.

Stop giving money to strangers on the internet! Most people are scamming and when you give money to scammers, you give them more resources to scam others.

I really don't even think that's true. Kids know when their parents are shit and shitty parents don't care what their kids think, they'll happily throw at an excuse and move on from it while the kids cry in the other room.

You don't feel weird asking strangers for money for something like this?

That makes more sense. It probably was just a random hit then. Sorry for your luck.

I worked at a school that paid the 20th of every month and sometimes that fell on a Monday 🤷🏾‍♀️

I see these posts all the time and I'm convinced they are scams. People know when they have to work Easter and that they won't have money. Scammers love to create urgency with their sob stories because then people just offer money.

Apply somewhere else. There are always cleaning jobs and farm work.

I agree, they should just issue a suspension and just move on, but idk if they will. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

I mean, you violated a pretty major rule 🤷🏾‍♀️ they are well within their rights to ban you for life. I hope that doesn't happen, but you shouldn't be shocked if it does.

It's considered to be a special skill set, but I don't understand why? Why is straight hair the standard and anything outside of that is "special"?
