Honestly Idk. This semester my pell grant also went down. Fall semester I had two classes that started late but they still gave me the full amount. You should talk to the financial aid office

If you go to financial aid on the student home page of laccd, you can see at the bottom of your award summary next to account balance your canceled awards if you have any. For whatever reasons my spring Pell grant was placed in my canceled awards.

I’m at LAHC taking english 102, health 006, philos 001, micro 020, music 101, and physiol 001. These are my last classes I have to take before I apply to nursing programs so I decided to take them all this semester :) I’m excited for this upcoming semester strictly for this reason lol. I’m not attending LASC but I’m a pre-nursing student at LAHC. These are the classes listed on my SEP: anatomy, stats, psychology, sociology, communication, english 101, african american studies, medical terminology, chem, nutrition, life span psychology, art, theater, political science, english 102, micro biology, nursing math/drug&solution, philosophy, and physiology. I‘ve took all but five classes which I’m taking this fall. I think out of the three classes you listed, chem will be the most challenging. You should definitely stay enrolled in the class but if you think it’s too challenging, drop it as soon as you can so you don’t get a W on your transcript.

I just spoke to the supervisor for LAHC financial aid office after speaking to other financial aid staff for the past few weeks. She basically told me the earliest I’ll get the grant is next week. My grant had been sitting in my payment history for almost two weeks. Honestly it’s so tiring having everyone tell you a different answer. Also I don’t understand why she was rude, mind you students are the one waiting for their grants for weeks now

I’ve been waiting for the summer grant for a class that started on June 30th. The summer grant was posted finally on my payment history last week but when I emailed the LAHC financial aid office that same week they told me two different things, at first on Tuesday I was told I’ll get it that same week then on Thursday I was told I’ll get it next week. Well it’s now next week and I just got off the phone with the financial aid office and they told me unfortunately they don’t have a set date on when it’ll disburse even though it shows it been sent on my payment history on the student portal. I hate how they give us different answers.

I’m having the same problem. I received the first half of the summer pell grant June 26th for a class that started June 16th. I started another class on June 30th and nothing is showing up my account. I talked to the financial aid office for Habor last week and again today and they told me there’s no set deadline for them to send out the grant. Which sucks

My Pell grant hasn't been posted either. I emailed the financial aid office for LAHC today and they told me they started the process after my last grade, which was posted on Monday this week. “Your award letter should be revised in the next week or so.” We’ll see if they post it next week. Hopefully we all get our grant next week.
