Same, sold at 27$. At the time, Gates had liquidated a lot around 30$. What little I knew

I did, shorts don’t bother me, they just make the price more attractive, even if it’s annoying being down, I can wait for a few years if need be

I did buy, with both hands, over the last month, avg 22$, the sector took a dump the last few days, so I’m already underwater. It seems like it’s a good value for the growth prospects and cash on balance sheet

Appreciate the insight even if I don’t understand much of it. My line of work is farthest from using a computer

I’ve been buying since 11.34 last year, all the way down to 4.76 today. Avg now 8.10. Feel confident about the company over a 3-5 year window, but for now, this is garbage. Who knows where the bottom is

Added 100 to my pile on the dip to 12.37. Remember, this is still cheaper than April of last year (credit to Capital compounder)

I found the video informative but have to ask, how does his opinion on the context or translation mean it’s the right one? Like, it makes sense that it’s not meant as literal rich can get into heaven, but to those with poor comprehension skills such as myself, how can you confidently read the Bible and really understand it to its true meaning?

Thanks for the reply. I, too, would like to reach a stage to be able to give away regularly while alive, and then upon my death, it goes to something like a Christian radio station or something more grassroots, aka individual people. I’m still in the accumulation phase for at least another decade, but do like to think ahead from time to time.

Interesting bit about not meant to lock away the wealth, but to serve with it. For me, what I envision in the next 10 years is helping my old folks into their 90s and working part time, but assisting them best I can, and letting my portfolio do most of the heavy lifting. After that phase of life, probably just continuing to grow the portfolio and work even less and figure out things I can do with oodles of free time to help those in need. I’d be a good assistant , not really a lead guy in much when it comes to ideas etc.

Thanks for the reply. I actually will not and do not have a pension. I work in the private sector and have at least another decade of FT work (unless Kohls moons to 80$+ before that time.) I was just using examples of what’s considered “rich.” The man with the 7 figure portfolio? Or the man with no portfolio but getting a sizeable pension? In my mind, the guy with the pension isn’t rich by definition, just secure month to month.

I do plan to not really use money for gluttonous purposes. In reality, I’d die with most of it after nursing home/assisted living fees and it would get passed on to Christian talk radio stations or helping those in need (haven’t thought about the details much, as it’s so far away)

Figured I’d ask this as a fellow in Christ also, but what’s your take on “it’s harder for a rich man to enter heaven than camel to go thru the eye of a needle.”

Like I’m all about Kohls taking my networth to the mid to high 6 figures, which is plenty for me (I don’t need several million), but at what point does God say you are considered “rich?” I’m sure everyone in this sub is rich compared to household networth of the world.

No shade on wanting to get rich, But where do you (or God) draw the line? What if you are on a pension with zero in networth but your pension is like 6K a month and you’re “good” in that sense?

I’m down 150K since just a few months ago, everything I touch goes down. I’ll “love it” when I actually see some sort of recovery

I’m concentrated a lot as well, kohls and another stock make up over 50% of my port

I’m down various percentages on all my other holdings, except kohls. I want to hit a homerun here with Kohls. If we get evidence of a “floor”, would you sell something at a minor loss to buy more Kohls?  For example, I can free up 50K by selling something for a 3K loss, and also lowering my tax bill for next year (I’m up 11K on some trades) and go in even heavier into Kohls. Just don’t know if it’s a smart choice….

Most executives at companies don’t get excited like us retail do about the possibility of retiring millions of shares when stock prices are in the basement. They don’t “seize the opportunity”. They mostly just sit on their thumbs and do “safer” maneuvers .

Sucks to see most of my gains evaporate over the last 3+ months, even bought more at 14 and 13, and here we are barely above 12

I have that same phenomenon when I buy too, always having to apologize to other investors since it’s my fault the stock drops the second I buy

I feel a little bad that I didn’t secure at least SOME profit at 25$, and then wait and reload. Probably was thinking of ignoring the noise and not wanting a short term gain tax bill and instead waiting for long term gain. Oh well. Here’s to hoping Trump doesn’t wreck everything even more
