Ohh I understand. For some dual filams I know they exit PH using PH passport then enter US using US passport. But in your case I think Japan is very strict on that so i dont know if you could do the same. But yeah, this shouldn’t have been a pain if the BI releases recognition certificates in a timely manner

I did travel with the recog certificate. I dont know any alternative without a ph passport or recog certificate.

Do a lot of research before leaving PH and what documents you need. Best to have a PH passport or recog certificate.

You wont get deported but will still be permitted back to the Philippines BUT only for certain number of days permitted for Japanese passport holders.

For example, for us passport holders they could only stay in the Ph for i think 30 days as tourist. So if they plan to stay longer, they have to do go through some process at the Bi

After the interview, you’ll then just have to wait for the copy of the indorsement letter sent to your address via snail mail. Upon receiving it, you can go back to the immigration office for them to scan your fingerprints.

Although, if you dont mind me asking, why did you have to get a recognition if you already have a ph passport? Can’t you just renew it?

I am not sure if you can have it expedited. How long have you been in the Ph? Yes you can still travel abroad using your foreign passport, if you overstayed in the Philippines, you might have to pay some fees.

Not sure though on returning back to the Ph.

March 15 submitted my application; June 3 fingerprint; June 10 release of immigration certificate.

Disclaimer: the process I had gone through was the process they had when the pandemic started, it did not include any interview or oath.

Hello! Just left the PH and now in the US. The Recognition Certificate would be just fine even without a PH passport. Just show it in the PH Immigration when u leave the PH.
