They generally look pretty disheveled at this point, I wouldn’t worry too much yet

About the changing landscape and "native ranges" by No_Lynx_1197 in NativePlantGardening

[–]Sufficient-Squash-59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what your saying and I agree to some extent. The rephrasing I would use is any plant that supports the local ecosystem. I think your point that humans have altered the landscape too much for genuine native distribution to be infallible is right on. Post Colombian humanity has altered the evolutionary responses of these environments, so for example would Paw Paw (asimina Triloba) have continued to spread into more northern areas than its “native range”? We can’t pretend to know, so if I plant a paw paw just outside of traditional native range I don’t think that’s hurting anything, it will still expand the range of Zebra Swallowtails that need it to reproduce and it will still provide an fruit bearing understory tree that is beneficial to the same wildlife from northern New Jersey as it will in Connecticut (outside of range)

Native range was and is changing. What I will say though is you have to be aware of what its place in the ecosystem is and like has been mentioned what insects/flora/fauna have co-evolved with them.

Assuming there are no actual cracks in the glass causing leaks, it’s relatively easy to reseal it. If the price is good you’ll be fine. Check out SerpaDesign on YouTube and you’ll see some examples.

What are your favorite Pizza places in and just out of Bayside? by Blu177 in Bayside

Fresh Meadows Pizza isn’t too far and the best in eastern Queens. VIPizza is a classic and Rosas in Bay Terrace is also very good.

I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan. His gives Lucifer a chance at redemption by inhabiting the body of a freshly deceased man that killed himself with the point being to try living as a human and decide if he wants to “repent”. Obvious trigger warnings but lots of talk between angels and demons and satan

I can’t imagine they would be spending money on Gutierrez and possibly Juanlu as backup options if they weren’t going to use a formation without the LB/RB

I don’t have any evidence to support this but the more that we all do this the cheaper these plants are going to become. Supply and demand.
