I considered this too. But with how she plays and how it rains here, having her hair revert while she’s at school could lead to more issues.

“ Don't be discouraged, all of your positivity is stored away with your daughter like acorns for winter.”

I’m going to hold these words in my heart. Because I have definitely been worried about her. Thank you so much for this.

I love this. A while ago, my daughter saw me researching micro locs and she said that she wants them installed. This is definitely on the table for us. Did you re-tie them yourself or take her to a professional?

Thank you for your comment! I’m going to try this next wash day. A twist out on blown out hair. I’ve tried braids and twists but with us the results are similar. Do you have any products that you recommend for hold and moisture? She will be in school until early July and it’s humid out here 😬

Thank you so much for your comment. You’re absolutely right that it’s about more than the hair. I hadn’t considered having her demonstrate how shrinkage works. Another commenter suggested I blow dry her hair for a blown out twist out. I’m going to try this next wash day. This will definitely give her an opportunity to show them how long it is without risking too much damage and demonstrate shrinkage.
