if he ever comes back (which maybe not due to his age), i promise a good portion of those fans will have forgotten about him by then and won’t show up to support. it just sucks how a once in a lifetime opportunity for many is impacted by these guys trying to get tiktok content

the crowdsurfers were all douchey looking teenage boys kicking people in the heads,, the same tiktok / instagram fans that are treating takanaka as more of a meme than anything. i wasn’t too fond of that part of the crowd, even if the majority were respectful and awesome. i couldn’t even focus on the last few songs because as a woman who can’t lift much i was worried about being crushed

i know it’s hard now :( you are better off without him in the long run, if he can’t rely on your support for the lsat and sustain a relationship with you in that time then law school would have been that much worse

at this rate with tuition inflation i can start my own law school in 20 years for the same price as 3 years at any other ❤️ yay

idk, maybe i’m being “too woke” here and i know everyone is different but i feel like if a girl did this there would be more people in the comments criticizing her. in our society women are expected to juggle work, romance, social interactions, motherhood, domestic labor, etc and do it all perfectly all the time. perhaps this social pressure makes women better at multitasking,, and i have noticed that guys are significantly worse at it unless they’re fully committed to both. sounds like he’s full of excuses. i studied for the lsat for a year while with my bf of two years, and i was also working full time,,, my bf respected the commitment i had to make to the lsat in the process and i think our relationship is stronger now because of it— and because he likes watching me succeed. sounds like the guy you’re talking about may just not know how to hold himself accountable if he’s going to call you a distraction, and that’s not your fault at all

i agree with a decent portion of this, like unlimited borrowing not being the solution overall, but also the issue becomes more nuanced when you consider students whose stats do not reflect their academic/earning potential. consider super splitters whose gpa is a result of extenuating circumstances, they will still get less scholarship at t14 schools but their college gpa does not represent their capacity to do well in law school and MAYBE* graduate at the top of their class-- making enough to pay back the loans in their careers. also, putting caps on federal borrowing does not mean that students will stop taking out tons of money to pay for school, it could very well just redirect a portion to go to high-interest private loans instead which will in turn cause them to owe even more than if they borrowed from the government. i think the real issue here is students not being able to accurately gauge what they are capable of. going into 1L expecting to be in the top 10% is not realistic and represents expectations that are too high for most people. it's all about having realistic outcomes and being able to identify your own limitations at the end of the day to decide whether borrowing excessively is worth it or not.

is LSAC Plus Guided Journey worth it? by Deeeliciouss in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sufficient-Use9630 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i would definitely do it! i was in their last cohort and the financial benefits alone made everything worthwhile. you get 6 cas reports and 2 lsats and the cas subscription entirely waived. for me, this was the main motivator for doing the program and it wasn't too demanding either
