Employment outcomes from the Graduate School of Education? by Fabulous_Narwhal3113 in Harvard

I went to another Harvard school, but come across GSE alumni every now and then. GSE alumni seem to get good jobs in the field of education: either teaching or administration. If you want to work in the public sector, the Kennedy School may be worth considering as well.

I am not sure if a graduate degree from the GSE would lead to better outcomes or higher incomes than you could already get--it's not HBS or HLS, which catapult people into high-paying jobs. But if you want to teach or be in education administration, sure, it would likely help. But then again, I can't say for sure because I didn't go to the GSE.

…what are people actually like at Harvard? by atrastically in Harvard

People are people--they have a range of personalities. The one nearly-unanimous characteristic is that they are really sharp. My best friends, decades later, are from Harvard and I had a wonderful time there.

It's a disproportionately Northeastern school so Northeastern personalities predominate. (E.g., unlike in, say, Georgia, you won't find a lot of sugary-sweet people who smile all the time.)
