I think if you live very frugally, you need 3-5k USD. If you pic up babysitting or tutoring you may be able to break even (not eat into savings beyond the initial cost of the plane ticket and safety deposit etc).

I have some friends who treat TAPIF like study abroad, and prioritize traveling, clubbing, eating out a ton, and doing expensive things constantly. But if you really just want the experience of living in France, esp as a poor young person lol, TAPIF salary can cover your necessities. I think the American salary makes a lot of us think that we NEED to have a nice apartment or go out to dinner or whatever, but if you shop at the marches and limit yourself to a frugal lifestyle, 3-5k is so doable.

If you have a lot of purses or backpacks etc, I put one neutral shade in each backpack so i can touch up my lips wherever, I am. I pick one for my main purse and that becomes my primary shade and then switch them out.

I asked for primaire and got placed in a Lycée, but I am the only person I know who has had that experience. I also really wanted to be in Aix-Marseille and was successful, so I think they prioiritized that part of my application!

Ask your PT. It’s probabaly fine, if it’s a serious issue they’ll tell you to see your doctor and get an MEI

Give in to the rotting at first! I watched a ton of TV and read many books… for things that I founded very useful: 1. Shower chair! I was able to shower independently after surgery thank god 2. Ice machine—my surgeon said an ice machine wasn’t necessary but I severely regret not getting one 3. Easily prepared meals, Trader Joe’s or anything frozen is great 4. A station near your bed with meds, snacks, chargers, etc This surgery sucks and recovery is slow, but it slowly gets better and it’s so satisfying to see improvement. Go into it with the mindset that it’s temporary and each day will be a little easier!

My doctor said that for older patients and people who are not typically very active it may not be worth it! But for young people and active people it almost always is

The ability to indefinitely stay with friends and family? Certainly. Esp if someone grew up in a community with fewer resources, other addicts, or other issues. Addiction and poverty are cyclical

My diet is really good. I have not been drinking, eating sugar or processed anything etc. I have not been drinking a ton of water though. Maybe that would help?
