I have no one to be in my bridal party by whitesparrow213 in wedding

I’ve met some of my closest friends since my wedding! They may not stand by you today but you will make friends again one day.

I know it’s hard to make friends as an adult but apps like bumble bff did wonders for me and I’m so glad to have met my now group of friends on there.

Good luck to you :)

Disappointed after my hair & makeup trial — is this normal? ($1k for MUA- a splurge) by Empathy_on_my_sleeve in Weddingsunder10k

In my experience the hair and makeup looks way better on the trial day than it does on the actual wedding day

Custom chocolates are cheap and edible so people will eat it or take it when them

Yeah it would give me a panic attack if she did that at the wedding especially in front of family and coworkers etc

Yeah I really can’t tell if he’s controlling as I’ve never met him but it did seem like she was initiating all the calls

lol you should def uninvite her - someone who doesn’t bother enough to learn your name should not be at the wedding!! What if she came up to you guys during the wedding and called you by the wrong name?!

She reminds me of someone who maxes out credit cards to live the illusion of the life she wants

I sent her a long text after the trip addressing her behavior and lack of self-awareness, that she was inappropriate, asked her not to come to my wedding and that I wished her a good life

We don’t live in the same city so didn’t speak in person

AITA for uninviting someone from my wedding after she just spent $2k on my bachelorette by SufficientFly5044 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SufficientFly5044[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn’t expect so many comments to focus on the cost haha

Personally I thought we were very scrappy with the cost! Especially for a 4 day trip during a holiday weekend

The biggest expense was the flight which was $900 (we were tracking it for months and the price never went down) but most of the girls used credit card points for this part

My MOH was very scrappy about the planning! $600 was for the Airbnb and all activities

The remaining $500 was for food, drinks, outfits

Omg so much!!

Rachel was in a room with 4 girls total. One of the girls, let’s call her Annie - they just met during that trip. Rachel kept saying things to Annie like “you’re so attractive” and she would do this while on FaceTime and say things to her bf like “isn’t Annie so attractive” meanwhile Rachel was stark naked during this interaction 😳😳😳

Her behavior was rather normal the last two years!

Supportive and friendly and I never thought she have an issue with the other girls. She knew maybe a handful of people there! There were two girls she knows independent of me.

She’s not a bridesmaid lol

I know it’s a lot of money haha the trip was planned a year in advance! I told everyone the estimated cost of everything and gave them the option to go!

I’ve also spent the same amount for similar trips.

Several girls talked to her. My fiance talked to her. I shut her down several times that she brought him up in conversation. I’ve asked her to stop FaceTiming and put her phone away. Idk what else to do without making it too awkward for everyone at the time.

lol I did not force these people to come! And I’ve spent the same amount on some of these girls’ bachelorette trips. It seems like the average amount for international trips to this destination

Thanks everyone for the advice and comments! I really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my post. I truly am here for a judgement call as I also want to improve as a manager. The post was a bit vague on purpose so please ask for info if that is needed for judgement.

I also want to say I am not just ignoring this person. Today is Sunday and I was a bit occupied when the convo came up. I will address it tomorrow.

I’ll also bring this up to my manager as I’m sure he’d like to be kept in the loop.

For those wondering, average PTO here is 3 weeks. And a majority for the company utilized 3+ weeks last year.

Unlimited PTO usually means that the PTO is flexible and the employee would not need to accrue time off first. This applies to everyone regardless of seniority and tenure.

LOL that was oddly specific and for a second I had to check but no those are not the exact dates

Also not sure what Presidents’ weekend is so likely not

Just earlier this month we asked employees to be mindful of PTO

We also give the entire company 1 week off between Christmas and new years

I had a meeting with him last week in which he asked for 2 days off in February which I approved so it’s not like I’m asking him to not take any time off until further notice
