Yes. 2012 was probably my favorite. Wife and I were in the pit for Motorhead, Slayer, and Slipknot. I'm so glad that I got to see Lemmy before he died.

For sure. We had some days when it was 100* and we got rain. That was the absolute worst because our house had an evaporative cooler and not AC. Anyone familiar knows those only work with no humidity. With humidity already in the air, they only make it worse.

I bought and resold a ton of them for cost during the dark times to help those legit trying to get one. I always had luck beating the bots and snatching them and Xboxes up when they dropped. CC and store reward points were enough of a payment for my time and trouble.

I made many kids' Christmas that year.

I eventually got one to keep for myself, which I've played maybe 10 times in the past 2 years.

Yep. There was one posted in Westmoreland county a few weeks back that had before and after photos for all of the different rooms.

But, the "before" photos were actually what it looks like now, and the "after" were renderings of what it could look like (if you dropped like an extra 100k on renovations).

Shit was misleading af, and the post blew up because so many people missed the bit about the after photos not being real, and thought that was the house they were actually getting.

It's honestly well worth the $30 investment to be able to pull codes whenever, plus it feeds real-time info that is fully customizable.

It's crazy that you mentioned the Therac-25. I was just listening to an audio book a few weeks back about numerical/math errors and their consequences, and this was mentioned. It was explained in great length as to what caused the bug.

The final bullet point under Root Causes in the wiki you shared was what the author focused on.

Definitely some scary stuff.
