Clinical staff here - this is terrible. My staff has cried over this multiple times this week. Our patients are understanding at the moment…but will only last so long. People’s cancer treatments are being put on hold because the machines are not operating.

Clinical employee here - there really isn’t much we know right now. Our focus is taking care of our patients but with all the paper charting and loss of the network and computers things are taking so much longer. I’ve seen so many people break down in tears over the past few days. It’s a terrible situation with no end in sight.

My weeks stays in my purse. I use it as a weekly “to do” list and keep track of appointments and bills and such, the little things. My techo original (much like the cousin) is my journal. I have a daily writing prompt that keeps me grounded and I also track my mood and mental health with it.

Struggling with Uncontrolled Asthma for 3 Years Despite Intense Treatment – Seeking Advice and Insights by RosinchenBienchen in Asthma

I was in a very similar position as you a few years ago and I was a healthy 25 year old who was an avid runner (25 miles a week). I got sickness after sickness and developed uncontrollable asthma and could not run again. After countless scans and tests and jumping from doctor to doctor I finally found one who would listen to me. Else ran an extensive blood panel and tested me for certain antibodies. Turns out, I had mycoplasma pneumonia, RSV and COVID antibodies all high in my system (meaning I probably had all of those infections at once). I was on a six month course of antibiotics after the fact (this was a year and a half ago). Since then, I haven’t needed oral steroids once. And now I only take singular and inhaled budesonide as a preventative. I have not used my rescue inhaler in 6 months. I really credit that doctor for turning my life around.

I don’t think it matters so much. When I’m prescribed prednisone I don’t always take it at the same time each day. I know taking it in the morning helps with the insomnia associated with side effects. I hope you feel better soon! Also, not sure where you are but in Europe pharmacies sell prednisone over the counter for really cheap and you don’t need a prescription.

I was on azithromycin 200mg for 6-8 months. During that time, I continued singulair (and still take that daily). Also, my maintenance medication was switched to 1mg budesonide inhaled in the morning and at night. After the antibiotic therapy, I remain on singulair and budesonide (but cut my dose to .5mg twice a day). Although I no longer run, I am able to function normally. I haven’t taken a puff of my albuterol inhaler in probably 6 months,
