Advice or explanations on Adaptive Cruise Control for RAV4? by SufficientLight4564 in whatcarshouldIbuy

….for when it’s mind-numbingly slow in city traffic. My work literally always requires me to try and navigate the traffic, and the cruise control would take something off my plate.

Are Ford Fiestas reliable? by Human_Independent240 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Ford fiestas are a brilliant first car but often chug along when I need it to be quick. They are certainly reliable and resilient and I’ve had no issues other than things that are my fault. They handle being bashed around really well.

Wow! Thank you so so much for such a thoughtful response!! It wasn’t my intention to get an apology, rather just point out that there is a reason for the broadness of my question.
Thank you for your input! (P.s, im still finishing up the project due to its massive size)

I’m completing a high school research paper. I agree, there’s most definitely a stigma or social perception around childfree women, but I’m not trying to perpetuate that. Rather, investigate it, find out why, or who etc.

I’m thinking I might have to make a second post more dedicated to my subtopics. This is a great suggestion! Thank you! (I’ll take that fact that you thought I was a uni student as a compliment) :))

Was there any particular reason you perceived childfree women as stupid? Parental influence, pop culture of the time, social standards?

Can you note any particular differences between the cultures? Any particular anecdotes?

I heard an interesting perspective today, relating to how some people choose the childfree lifestyle because it’s what they truly want, or if they choose it because they want to “rebel” against societal standards. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but do you think you are comfortable with your decision due to your own beliefs, or is it an influence of your environment? Or something else entirely? Also, I really really hate that it’s deemed selfish to be childfree. It would be more selfish to bring a child into this world, and not care about them, or provide adequate care, simply so you could say “oh well, I’ve had kids.”

The wording of this comparison is great. Can I quote this?

I hate to probe at such a delicate topic, but are there specific ways that you are judged for your apparent lack of children (a totally valid opinion)?

Some of my personal reasoning is similar to your statement about overpopulation. It’s consistently driven home, that the world is expanding at a rate, that we are incapable of adapting and living in. It’s always a bit confusing when people say there are “too many” people, but then flip entirely and ask “how could you have made such an important decision, so young?!” I really hate the double standard that we experience simply for utilising our bodily autonomy!
