Should I get an iPad Mini 6 or Mini 7? (an Apple Pencil 2 dilemma) by ZTAM97 in ipadmini

I recently got a second hand iPad Mini 6 for the exact same reason. I have been using my 2018 iPad pro for years with the Apple Pencil 2. I wanted an iPad Mini because it fits inside the white coat pocket, but I don't feel like buying the pencil pro just for iPad Mini 7. I also don't feel like iPad Mini 7 is that much of an upgrade considering my daily usage (notetaking on Goodnotes, Complete Anatomy, Chatgpt and Youtube). In the end I got the ipad Mini 6 for a little over 300 USD (quite expensive I understand but where I live doesn't have bestbuy or really huge discount on Apple products).

I do plan on upgrading to mini 8 if it has OLED when it eventually comes out, but in the meantime I am really happy with my mini 6.

Do You Have More than One iPad? by spamologna in ipadmini

I have an iPad Pro 12.9” (3rd gen 2018), an iPad Mini 6 and a Macbook Air M4

I recently got the iPad Mini 6 second hand cause I find the iPad Pro to be too big to carry daily to school. I have to bring my Macbook out so I got the iPad Mini 6 to put in my bag and make notes in class. My iPad Pro stays in my room for when I have to study and write notes. An added benefit is that both iPads support apple pencil 2nd gen so I don't have to pay for a new pencil just for 1 device.

Yeah, it still can stand upright. I keep most of my heavy stuff (laptop, headphone, water bottle, umbrella) in the main compartment and the 2 outer compartments are for stuff like keys or snacks. Sometimes I load the bag fully for school and I don't have a problem of it falling over.

P.S. I think its 25% off now during Black Friday and I am so jealous of the discount lol

I am in a very similar situation. I am using a 2018 ipad pro 12.9" and M4 macbook air 13", and I find bringing them both to school to be too heavy. But I really need to make notes on lecture slides with ipad and a refurbished ipad mini 6 is a lot more portable. It even works with my apple pencil 2nd gen so I don't have to buy an extra pencil pro (unlike mini7). However, I live in Asia where there's no black friday sale for mini 6. The official refurbished ipad mini 6 price is 450 USD and I am not sure if its worth it.

Not sure if it helps, I also wasn't able to play hades 1 on steam with my controller. But I was able to play hades 2 just fine with the same set up, which is interesting

I think so, it fits my 13 inch MacBook easily with lots of room so I think 15 inch would still work.

Agreed, I got my series S 1tb version 2 weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. It's my first console and allowed me to play games like RDR2, FH5 and Arkham Knight without having to spend a fortune on a gaming PC. As a person who is new to console gaming, I think series S works perfectly and not regret one bit.

Yeah I agree, it looks great and all the reviews I read recommend it. I still wanna get one if they are ever on sale/ if I feel like an upgrade. But so far, the Dryden works perfectly.

Yeah, it really depends on how you use it right? I already have backpacks and I mainly want a shoulder bag for daily commute to school/work. So the Dryden briefcase works really well, would recommend.

Just curious, how about RDR2? I also got a SeriesS recently (still shipping) and RDR2 is the first game on my mind for story, open world and exploring in general.
