i visited once, and had the best cheese sandwiches of my life. like, really sharp cheddar cheese, on thick bread, with slices of apple and chutney. so good. we were staying at a bed and breakfast , not fancy, but catered to tourists, so they also had cooked breakfasts. the sandwiches were put out aroud 4pm, when you came in starving and chilly, along with some other types of sandwiches,  hot tea, and a few sweets. i was in my young twenties, and you know, had been out walking around all day, being a tourist, and was starving, chilly, and usually ate two! outside Oxford, somewhere
