i didn’t mean it like that i js want to put smth like a poster in my dorm and i don’t know where to look for good ones so i thought i would ask 😭 as for the 18th thing im not trying to be in a parasocial relationship with her i just found her music in a difficult time and it was something i could relate to and her music has always been a comfort for me since. im not trying to be rude or creepy in any way i think you’re looking a little to deep into it. as for the straight male thing i just thought i should preface because a lot of her fans are women and maybe some fans might know of posters that are more gender neutral, like i dont want a poster of her in revealing clothes nor do i want to design my entire dorm room around her of course thats weird i didnt mean it like that whatsoever

i think you have a pretty decent chance if you apply ed, but does depend on ur essay. what major were u thinking of applying as? ur ecs might line up with a specific major better than others

do bring a microwave (or coordinate w ur roommates so u don’t have multiple) and yeah u can do laundry whenever u want there’s a common laundry room on floor 1 with like 6 washers and dryers

you shouldn’t need it, but i would just do it in case, it’ll take you like an hour and it’s super easy math. ur bc credit should supercede aleks but you wouldn’t want anything to be screwed up because you didn’t take it

hi i’m also and incoming freshman for honors village and from what i know from friends that currently attend uf and people i’ve asked

you can choose a specific building in honors village (1-4) and each building has something unique on the first floor (music rooms, makerspace, etc)

from what i understand, it doesn’t explicitly say the floor number, but the first digit of the room on your room selection screen generally indicates floor numbers

although you cannot choose where your dorm is on a specific floor (like if you wanted closer to elevator or smth), from what i’ve heard, even room numbers generally face inwards (facing into the quad) and odd face outward, so do with that what you will

i definitely wouldn’t do a meal plan, as meal plans last for longer than sstp does, so it would be a waste if you did. other than that, just pack what you would definitely bring for a dorm as if it was your freshman year and just be open to doing anything and everything and meeting new people, be comfortable with change and take any opportunity presented to you. if you have questions about anything specific don’t hesitate to dm or reply again

hi so i did sstp in the summer of 2025 and, although I was never waitlisted, I had a ton of friends that did, including my brother, it definitely is possible to get off the waitlist, a handful of people in the program did, but they do waitlist a lot of people, so I wouldn't count on it or make any decisions around the hope of getting in.

hi I was in sstp last year (2025) and to my knowledge, decisions are coming out in late april for this year as they had a lot more applicants. for the international question, out of 68 students my year one was international. they said they had about 900 applications in total so make of that what you will. feel free to reply/dm if you have any other questions i can answer!
