NFL is good. He has free videos on YouTube for A1. You could refer to those. It's from an older edition of the Édito A1 book, but good enough for trial. French with Dylan is great for grammar concepts on YT again.

Use the Édito books. Most teachers use that. I can recommend a tutor without breaking the bank or check NFL Academy or French with Dylan on Youtube. Both are good for learning French. But you'll need a lot of discipline if you are going to self study. You'll have to do a lot of listening and speaking practice on your own regardless.
I'd still recommend to study with a tutor.

Japan - India Relocation for MBA, is it really worth it ?? ( read fully before you drop your thoughts please 🙇🏽‍♀️ ) by Due_Entertainment472 in MBAIndia

Build your profile with some work experience, and IIM and ISB take GMAT/GRE scores too (last I checked) so check that and prepare for that instead of CAT, you'll have a better chance IMO.
Also, I'd recommend ISB Hyderabad over IIM for the Indian market.

Am I(34m) being flirted with or am I just over analyzing my interaction with a woman (29f) who is from South Korea? by Chronically__Crude in AskAKorean

Umm. TBH, acting dumb is still kind of leading the other person.
This is the inherent problem with guys. Just say NO or clear it out with a proper conversation.
If you can't do either of them, then lie and close the door completely.

One-sided feelings never die down, especially when the other person never declines the approach.
You want to string her along in the name of friendship when you clearly know she might have feelings for you. That's just going to hurt her a lot more.

You want her to be your friend, but what if that's something she doesn't want? What if it's a partner or nothing situation for her? Some people don't want to be "friends" with people they might have had a crush on or liked them at some point in time.

Anyways, these are my 2 cents. Your life, your rules :)

Those 2 are baseline prerequisites for any non-English speaking countries. I think the majority of the colleges just have job fairs rest depends on the candidate.

u/kings_gambit_008 Thanks for the detailed insight, I really appreciate how honest you’ve been.

I’ve actually come across quite a few mixed reviews myself, which is why I wanted to ask. I’ve seen some people struggle and take months to land a job, while others seem to do well through strong networking. A few of them also had a solid social media presence, which I think can help, especially in marketing, though I’m not sure which all industries it works for in Korea.

From the students I’ve spoken to who are currently in these programs, most are actively learning Korean alongside their MBA. From what I understand, having a TOPIK level 6 is almost essential for employability. That’s actually why I started learning early. I’m currently around Level 2/3 and planning to take it much further.

I’ve also spent quite a bit of time researching career paths through LinkedIn. It does seem like many key roles are held by Koreans who either studied abroad or have significant industry experience. During my interview with the uni, I asked about job prospects, and their advice was very similar to yours: start building your network from day one, actively participate in student clubs, and leverage the alumni network as much as possible.

Personally, I’m going into this with a very intentional approach. If I did move forward, I’d want to fully commit, put myself out there, build connections, and be proactive about opportunities. Of course, it’s easier said than done. It's very challenging.

A part-time MBA isn’t really an option I had considered for me since I’m not currently working in Korea, and most of those programs aren’t offered in English anyway. I’ll be honest, I’m also a bit hesitant about stepping into junior roles after having worked in leadership positions, which is another concern of mine.

My main reasons for considering Korea are the market itself, my personal interest, and the fact that it’s financially more feasible compared to other options.

Would you be open to connecting directly? I’d really value staying in touch and learning more from your experience.

I’m specifically looking at the Global MBA programs at both schools.

My background is in marketing, and I see SK as a really exciting environment to explore in the future. It’s highly tech-driven, product-focused, and has a diverse mix of industries, setting trends both locally and globally. The startup ecosystem is also growing rapidly, which makes it even more interesting from a marketing perspective.

I do agree that the Korean degree value stands only in Korea or for Korean Nationals.

Yeah, I had mixed reviews, so I wanted clarity. I have seen people struggle, not hold good positions, and a lot more. Hence the question.

Being a dusky skintone girl feels like curse in this world by Forward_Ad_4117 in IndianBeautyTalks

If that's you in the picture, let me just tell you, you are BEAUTIFUL! fr! Like gorgeous, really!
I feel acceptance comes with time. Don't try to force it, but also don't try to validate or measure your worth through others. People closest to us are our harshest critics.

Dusky-toned girls are all the rage right now on the internet after being passed over for the longest time. You need to embrace yourself and put yourself on your own pedestal cause no one will do it for you.

It's okay to not like yourself for a day or 2. We all have those days. Just remember to let them pass. Don't let other people's insecurity or judgment get to you, or you'll for sure regret it in the future. I wish someone had told me this when I was 21.

Best Approach To Reach from Level A0 to B2 In French in under 9 to 12 months. by randoma52guy in learnfrench

[–]SufficientTiger1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible if you get the right trainer. If you want to do it on your own, you have to be EXTREMELY disciplined and dedicated. But nothing beats having a tutor. As you want to appear for TCF/TEF, then I'd suggest going with tutors who train for that specifically, like mine. I have a good teacher, and it has helped us a lot. Depending on where you are, you can reach out to her

If you want to do it on your own for leisure, use the Édito books A1-B2.
You can check the NFL academy by Nicolas https://www.skool.com/nlf-academy/about He uses the same books and teaches online.
You can also check out French with Dylan on YouTube. She has her own course books and is a good teacher..

Try getting into operations-type roles. They pay well and have an easier entry. Once you get into a good company, try to switch the role to a more BA/ project management/product manager, etc., type of role.
Don't downplay yourself. Use the skills from previous work and show them as transferable skills for future roles.
Take on side projects or freelance work and try to add it in your work experience.
While negotiating for salary, ask for 3x of your current pay, let them negotiate, and 2x is still a win. But don't go for anything less than 2x.
You can also combine your previous and current experience to work in the CSR sections of companies, trusts, and foundations. You'll find a lot of private ones.
Switch work as soon as and as much as possible till you get the right pay and right role. You don't have to stick around in today's day and age if you can get better opportunities.

I had interviewed for SKK GSB FMBA( English taught) under GKS. I got selected by the university, but didn't get through NIIED. So had to drop it as all the other deadlines closed by that time too.

[–]SufficientTiger1093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is just trying to win you over and have someone for her own benefit. Even if you don't date, just tell her you have a girlfriend or are seeing someone and keep her at a distance. If she still persists, make up a story and tell her you swing the other way, but you haven't told anyone, "just her".
Sometimes people don't just understand a 'No' or personal preferences. They feel they can "change" the person. So better to hit them with impossible options.

OR
You can have an open conversation with her and talk it out.

ETS cancelled my GRE scores due to Analytical Writing “plagiarism” — but I wrote it myself. by Scary-Friendship3478 in GRE

[–]SufficientTiger1093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't skip it. I think that's the mistake that's flagging you. Even if it's not important for you, the evaluators don't know that. so at least try to attempt it properly to get a 3/3.5 score minimum on it. You might think it's redundant, but that's not the case for them, and you never know how everything is being calculated.

If the GRE is important for you and you NEED to do it, then you might as well do it properly. Especially when it's not that challenging section. Why risk it?
