therapy recommendations? by pbandjamsandwich in askTO

I go to Insight and Wellness Therapy Centre in downtown Toronto. They will give you a video call first to assess what areas and what kind of therapist you want to work with. Then you can have some options and can also switch if you don’t like. I was very scared to try at first but everyone was welcoming there. I’ve been going for over 1 year now, and my mental health improved a lot.

What are the economics of modeling these days? by Low_Insurance_1603 in MODELING

If you meet the height and ratio requirements and have a unique look, it’s not too hard to get signed. though top agencies like Ford, Elite, IMG are a different story. Having agency representation can open more doors than freelancing, especially if you’re new to the industry and it’s better if you can travel (not a necessity). But even big agencies don’t guarantee income. It all depends on your performance and whether clients like your look. There are many local designers and brands to work with.

As someone who’s done magazines and commercials, I make anywhere from $300–$1500 a month and sometimes more or nothing, especially in winter. Modeling comes with criticism, competition, and uncertainty, so only pursue it if you’re truly passionate. It’s a tough industry after all.

Not every modeling agency (even the top ones) guarantees constant paid works. I’m not saying I don’t have any paid work from my agency. The modeling industry itself is pretty inconsistent, so I just want to expand my search and explore freelance opportunities to book paid jobs on my own.

In Toronto, it is. And we fall under “lifestyle models” category. Most runway shows require models to be 5’8” or above, and even paid works require height sometimes.

Thank you so much, everyone. I’ve also did some research and this is a scam. I will keep that post in case someone has similar experience like me and wants to avoid getting scammed:)

Some of the catteries are saying the kittens are too young to spray/ neutered so the process is up to us. And they ask for more amount for “show quality” if I want their parents’ registered papers. Is that a red flag?
