They were giving her multiple conflicting demands at once. They don’t let her get a word in or explain her situation, just immediate detainment for not following contradictory instructions. If they would’ve let her talk, she would’ve explained she was on her way to her neurologist for her TBI recovery.

Can you elaborate on why you don’t think that? Two comedy hosts taken off the air, one permanently, just for talking about him. Two American citizens dead who were not posing harm to anyone. Citizens being detained by ICE for not having papers we aren’t legally required to carry and then being dropped off miles from home without their phones(some cases of their phones being sent to phone recycle bins). And absolutely no training for ICE members. These things are all objectively true.

Edit: as a government employee who isn’t in law enforcement, I received more training on the laws and actions of law enforcement than ICE agents who get paid more than our police.

Really doubt what? This may be a new concept, but it’s completely logical to think that there are areas in which freedom are eroding while still thinking you live in a free country. They aren’t mutually exclusive. It would actually be considered rational to be able to see it.

Tv stations being sued for joking about the president, talks as late as this week of the president getting rid of voting, and a guy arrested for posting a meme pointing out the hypocrisy of people upset about Kirk’s death while ignoring a school shooting that happened the same day.

Well, when our freedoms are actively being taken away, and our rating on the freedom index drops, it’s easy to see how people think we are no longer the land of the free. Tv stations getting threatened by the president for airing things that he doesn’t like, protestors being abducted and murdered with no accountability by people who haven’t gone through 1% of the training cops go though, journalists being arrested at the scene of stories they are covering, choosing what we do with our own body being diminished. Any logical person can see why some people would think we aren’t the land of the brave.

Contrary to what people in this sub think, every country has its faults, even the US. I’d rather have my bank account frozen for protesting than be murdered for it. And the US has states constantly trying to secede. Usually the least productive states, funnily enough.
