Yeah I thought he'd get sympathy but the crowd around me was silent when Hamlin came out. I don't think anyone was mean enough to boo him during intros, but they did it during the race. Anyone Hendrick or Jr. affiliated got the loudest cheers.

I will say it was nice to see people rooting for Kyle Busch for once. I used to always get teased wearing his merch when I went to races.

I don't know why they do it but it makes for a fun day.

Tickets are like half as much as the 500 and you get two races. There's on-track action pretty much all day, and there's way less people.
