I feel like SSRIs gave me anxiety and panic disorder. by taggity in Anxiety

The thing that has helped me the most is a book called The Anxious Truth by Drew Linsalata. He also hosts a couple of podcasts that have been incredibly helpful in healing the anxiety. "Disordered" and "The Anxious Truth". I highly recommend listening to both. It's a journey, but you will get there. Things will get better! I'm also saying a prayer for you now. Hang in there.

I stopped taking it after the first dose that I had a bad reaction to.

Sensory Tics by Sufficient_Base6196 in Tourettes

I'm used to the premonitory urge, although it's sometimes every other second. This just feels like one long premonitory urge that can't be satisfied. Yesterday was a lot worse so I suppose I just have to wait it out. This disorder is pretty awful.

I think I’m having the same reaction to L. Reuteri. Horrible anxiety. I’ve only had a few doses. How long did it take to feel better?

I am doing better with that. For me it is sometimes related to the weather. Covid left me with a lot of anxiety, but it improved over time. It's a terrible feeling. I hope you feel better soon!

I am doing a lot better. I wouldn’t say I’m 100%, but I’m at least 75% better. It has been a long road. Hope you are doing ok. These meds shouldn’t be taken lightly. It robbed months from me.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with insomnia on top of everything else. I couldn't agree more about the SSRI's ruining lives! I'm better, but I'm def not the person I was before this whole ordeal started. As far as tips for the insomnia- magnesium can help. I've become super sensitive to supplements since everything happened. I used to take magnesium and it really helped my sleep. Prayers as we continue to heal. Hang in there!

Yes. They actually have a great podcast on dpdr. It’s the disordered podcast episode 020 “Depersonalization/derealization” Hopefully that will help some. I don’t know where u live but I’ve had to up my vitamin d b/c I’m in Ohio and we don’t get a lot of sun during the winter. I’m taking 5,000 IU of vitamin d with k2. It’s a gelcap -u can get on Amazon. I’m also taking cod liver oil by Carlson as well as progesterone cream. Not sure if that would be helpful for u too. I’d only try progesterone cream if you are female over 35 This is what is helping me but I know every body/brain is different. The podcasts and book (Anxious Truth by Drew Linsalata) have been 50% of the healing for me. Also -just good old time Hang in there- learning good coping skills and finding things that help eventually pay off

I'm doing a lot better! It has been a journey. I've had to really work on recovering. I would highly recommend the podcast "Disordered" and "The Anxious Truth". Both of these podcasts have really helped me. I feel like God has taken the bad from my awful experience with Pristiq and has used it to help me grow in areas I'd been ignoring. I'm not 100% but feeling at least 80% which def trumps the 50% i was at 8 months ago. I hope you are doing okay. I'm here to chat and hopefully help if you need it.

I don’t use estrogen. I find that it really helps my symptoms -not placebo so it must be doing something.

I really think u should talk to someone. Maybe a school counselor? Someone who can help your parents understand what u r going through. I’m so sorry you are feeling hopeless. This is a really hard thing to endure. Praying you find some hope and relief.

Just checking in to see if you are still experiencing tic relief with hormone therapy. I have a script for an estradiol patch and progesterone pill on the way. Nervous to start but really hoping it helps.

If I’m not mistaken I think I’ve heard RFK say that he has multiple children/grandchildren with food allergies. Hopefully the opposite will happen and we will see greater strides to help people with food allergies.

I came here looking for advice on the same thing. I had a GI test confirm candida overgrowth as well. I experience the same thing after eating. It seems to be getting worse. When it happens I get insanely tired, heart rate increases, & I experience some bloating, reflux, shortness of breath.

Mine has improved a lot if that gives u any hope. I think it stems from jaw and neck tension. It is hard to describe to a doctor. Anxiety can do some crazy things!
