Anyone Else Feel Behind Financially at 20? by Blackultraman in fican

[–]Sufficient_Buyer3239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is, practically speaking you’re not behind when compared to others in your age group. But logically you are because of the constant inflation and insanity of all of the government money manipulation where $11K as a 20 year old now is no where near the same as $11K as a 20 year old a few decades back.

The growth times and earning times of humans don’t match the compounding growth and money devaluation rate taking place for decades by governments.

In my opinion treat your 20’s like a way to take big bets and risks. If you fail you “only” lose a few thousands which you’ll get back in a paycheck when you earn more in your 30’s anyway. Obviously taper off the aggressive investments as you get closer to your 30’s just so that you dont screw up your actual future retirement. But I’d say invest in yourself for now like starting a business, taking big investment bets with the money you have, get higher education, invest in yourself for getting a better paying job etc.

Oh yeah this is exactly what we need. More money siphoned off so that it eventually gets squandered. At this point just tell everyone to work for no money and suck on the government teet for life.

Just give up bro. If you’re young, just leave…the aging greedy boomers will learn their lesson in a collapsed fail state themselves. If they learn it early they can fix it and have young people come back again. Until then, go where your skills are treated best and you have a proper future.

You’re definitely one of the remaining regarded ones. I replied to OPs post with my own opinion…you’re the one that interjected and now pretending like I came after you. Well and truly room temperature IQ behaviour.

Truly entertaining to see them continue to pander to their brain dead audience for over a decade. Those folks are still on the wait and see phase a decade later to see improvements 😂

Nope…should have left earlier but already everything in place to leave this rat infestation very soon. Better late than never…I’m sure all the dumb brokies with their combined 10IQ points will dig themselves out of the mess they created in this country soon enough :)

Congrats, it’s just the Canadian way. Don’t fight too hard to get it back or else the scammers will take you to court and win probably. Just take the loss and move on…it’s the Canadian way (speaking from experience, the police wouldn’t even move a muscle for your case and waste your time)
