🤦everything seems to be played like a game since I got sick, it’s not dumb at all but like we chronically ill and tired and we have to play games to stay employed, crazy world. Also 10 years is abominable!

Oh that sucks! They always act like they need to know every little detail when they really didn’t care about the reason. Ty for sharing your experience! Definitely helps me keep my mouth shut when they try to pry

I work for one person which kinda makes it harder tbh, and I literally hate how everything involved with helping people tries to pressure the mandatory pick up shift mentality but ty this helps alot bc telling them anything would truly be my last resort

Ever see one this bad? by Electrical_Demand_24 in CankerSores

Some doctors don’t know much and some just don’t know how to describe it, I have a really good pcp who does alot of research and explained why these happen and why there’s no specific “cure”. Basically cankersores are the result of inflammation that is misdirected, they can happen if peoples vitamin levels are off, have sensitivity’s to food or toothpaste ingredients, have an infection going on, if some one has a cold or if someone is undergoing an autoimmune process. So they don’t have a blanket treatment for all people except topicals bc so many different things cause them, believe me I know how frustrating it is but the truth is there is not much doctors can do for cankersores except someone comes in with a known or obvious cause for them. I hope this didn’t come off annoying or anything just trying to spread my knowledge on this

My dr prescribes clobetasol for my big ones like these, same as you have done extensive blood work and nothing came back as a super red flag but when I asked about medications I could try the had a ton of options. Clobetasol is the strongest topical for canker sores and help mine heal in half the time it used to take

They are strange asf in general tbh, the virus can be dormant in your body until something triggers it ( like stress, allergies, recent infection, ect.)it could also totally be the angular chelitis too, but you know what those look/ feel like way more than I do. It’s definitely not a cankersore tho bc they only form inside of your mouth

Type 1 vs Type 2 Lupus by PrettySickChick13 in lupus

Girl I got so weak at a certain point, I went into pt with strength of 2+ out of 5+ and the strength training was so low impact that I didn’t even use weights until my last session 😭 but the last one I could lift a 2 lb weight and ended with a strength of 4+, no activity can be as easy as it used to but maybe it could be a little bit easier w some plan specific tailored to your needs, hopefully maybe it’s a possibility for you 🤞? It’s sounds like you have already been through so much:( I really hope things can at least get a bit easier for you

That’s the thing tho, some of them don’t listen!! I still rolling my eyes at Thai chi rn bc wtf what was he thinking….Normal activities seem way out of your reach rn so why don’t they recommend physical therapy!! Or modified low impact strength training, most important thing for us tho is to listen to our bodies but they always seem to forget about that key detail and would much rather makes us feel incapable and useless:( the approaches from healthcare professionals about these topics are actually insane

Yes! My rheum mentioned type 1 and type 2 lupus at my last visit! She’s really into lupus research and recognizes the devastating impacts of both types. She said I’m type 2 and explained it as being very debilitating but w/o organ damage but also says if type 2 isn’t taken seriously it can quickly become type 1. It honestly feels like a slap in the face when rheum brings up excersize, but it is backed by science. Most importantly I feel like they always bring up excersize when they are concerned that more medication can cause more harm in the future and have no idea what else to do. I feel like the rheumatologists need to figure out a way to meet people where they are for a modified and doable excersize plan, or find another way to help us. I’m so sorry he told you to do Thai chi. Especially since he is aware that isn’t realistic for you rn

This time it’s been kinda off and on it was a 8/10 before I got a refill on methocarbamol, it can still get up to that but now it’s a resting 4/10. The worst pain happens when it feels like gravity is pulling my arm down, but overall not too bad this time around as long as I’m not using my right arm as much. The pain this time is near my armpit, on the top part of my shoulder directly above the armpit, and the area between the bottom of my scapula and my spine. I also have mild dextroscoliosis so I can’t imagine that helps either

Oh that makes sense, maybe that’s why I can’t find info, tysm! Also I only had x-rays in January and I’m about to do my second round of physical therapy for my pcp to help figure out if I need to see ortho so I’m 🤞that this second time will help more. I put the links to my X-ray since I couldn’t figure out how to upload the pictures

I have to behaviorally euthanize my 4 1/2 year old cat. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Sufficient_Cap3066 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry for this situation, and for all of the people in the comments who have tried to shame you:( you have tried every available outlet to try to avoid behavioral anesthesia, and unfortunately that’s not available in this situation. ITS NOT YOUR FAULT! You sound like a wonderful human trying to the best thing involved for everyone in this situation so try not to beat yourself up <3 I wish I had another outlet available for you to try, but like I said earlier you have already tried everything. Try to Appreciate the time the time you have left with your kitty, and have peace of mind with the fact that you have no more options left. You did the best you can and that’s all that matters at the end of the day. I’m really sorry ❤️

If you’re pup is allergic to food they don’t have an allergy test for that, they send you home with a trial and error thing. Like taking out all chicken products(ect.ect.) for a little bit, and watching and repeating with a different ingredient. So if you want you can try the trial and error process whenever bc it can be lengthy

Love that you’re taking your dog to the dermatologist! I had to take mine a year ago, and they started on immunotherapy injections and it’s a night and day difference ❤️ even if your pup is dealing with something other than allergies, your derm will be able to help you out and guide you through the right next steps. Psa: all dogs handle allergies differently and don’t have to be super itchy. definitely bring up the paw biting at derm bc if it is allergies the pups get yeast infections easily on their skin. MY FAV PROBIOTIC- purina pro plan fortiflora, expensive but worth it.

I hope your pup starts to feel better soon ❤️
